One of the better red roof inns. Everything was clean and staff was friendly. Highly recommended if you're looking for a budget pet-friendly hotel
The service was excellent and quite friendly. Rooms were well kept as well as the hotel and grounds. Overall I would rate my experience at 5 stars.
They are really good. I gave four stars because they removed the carpets from the room and put hard floors. We arrived during snow which made the floors slippery
One of the most BEAUTIFUL picturesque places I have ever seen. Nestled in between the colorful mountains. Gorgeous place. Newly renovated has some minor check list honey does to do. NOTHING a diabetic can eat for breakfast. Why do hotels offer food but not what people can eat. Shame on you.
We are very happy with the room and the rates. The room was more like a suite having a living room on one side and beds on the other. The staff was very helpful and Travis was eager to please. The breakfast bar was a joke so you will have to plan on eating out and none of the pop machines had anything in them from Sat until Monday when we left.
Our cat approved of the room and we did too. We always stay at Red Roof when we travel. The bed was very comfortable. It's great having the microwave and refrigerator!!
Wytheville RRI is fine for an overnight stay. Nothing fancy but inexpensive. Beds are pretty stiff and small, bathroom pretty clean. The blankets had too many cigarette Burns and holes in them and towels were too stained in my opinion. The best part was the staff. They were super attentive and kind during our stay.
Stayed here on a reservation after reading positive reviews. The room was mostly clean not too noisy.
However, our room had a broken air conditioner in July for a family of 4. The said they couldn't do anything about it nor did they try, or even offer.
The lobby restroom was filthy(I wouldn't let my kids use it) had fluids on the floor and brown smears on the toilet seat.
Breakfast area at 8am was out of most everything, trash spilling over onto floors from an overflowing trash can. (We went elsewhere and ate)
Front desk had one staff guy that was simply telling people the place was not adequately staffed. He would put up a " back shortly "sign and walk away from the desk with a line of people waiting to check out.
Hope this helps people considering staying here.
My only complaint is that if you get a room with a King size bed, you get a microwave and a fridge, but if you have a room with two full size beds, like I did, you don't get them. Doesn't make sense. Other than that, visit was fine.
Great value. Our room smelled, looked, and felt clean! The use of laminate flooring is a great idea - no damp, smelly, or stained carpet!
Easy access to the highway, and in a safe area.
Not the grossest hotel room I've ever seen, but dirty enough that we decided not to stay. Booked online from reviews sight unseen. Staff was friendly, laminate flooring instead of carpet. But the sheets had stains on both and hairs under the made sheets. Just don't feel comfortable there. They gladly cancelled the reservation.
Pretty standard mid-low priced motel. Pleasant rooms. Actual rooms are not in the same building as lobby but other than that it is exactly what you pay would expect. Also the sink isn't in the same room as the toilet which is nice.
My family and I just returned from a two-night stay here. I've had good experiences with other Red Roofs, but this place gives the impression of being badly managed. The front desk staff doesn't exhibit minimum levels of training, customer service skills, or even basic giving a damn. I reserved a non-smoking suite for two nights, Thursday and Friday. The motel wasn't full on Thursday, but I suspect they were overbooked for Friday. When we arrived, we were sent to a smoking room. The front desk clerk, a thin and rather supercilious young man with glasses, saw us as brown-skinned and polite, and figured he could dump on us. When I went back to the front desk, he said that the room didn't show as a smoking room on his computer. I said that it had ashtrays and smelled strongly of smoke. He tried to get me to take the room anyway, but when I declined, he sent me to a non-smoking suite that was missing a refrigerator and microwave. The sofa sagged badly. The bathroom exhaust fan didn't work and there was no sign that anyone had tried to repair or replace it for a long time, even though that's not a challenging job. The room was dirty. The linen had been changed, but the room didn't appear to have been occupied for awhile. It probably was the "joke room", a room that isn't in good shape and gets pilfered to supply other rooms. When we went to report the missing refrigerator and microwave, the clerk did not offer to replace them, he just waved us away. The following day, in the middle of a massive thunderstorm, we got back to our room after lunch and found our keys no longer worked. I worked in customer service for 36 years, the last 28 as a manager at the area, regional and national levels, so I understand the difficulties of working with the public, and will stay polite with customer service people even when they don't deserve it. But I finally lost my temper with these folks. They clearly couldn't care less. The guy told me: "Your key doesn't work because it was programmed for one day instead of two". No apology, just the attitude that I should have know why our keys didn't work. Red Roof has just lost our business.
