Clean and reasonably priced for our weekend trip. Room was large and comfortable. The king size bed is firm but the matress itself was good. Overall positive experience.

Enjoyable stay. Old rooms but well done on the upgrade - freshly painted, new bathroom fixtures, clean. Landscaping well maintained. Great breakfast, friendly, helpful staff. Nice stay and well worth the cost.

Rooms were cleaner than other motel we stayed at but still needed some easy & over looked maintenance. Pink mold on shower head, a little around the tub. Door was had a gap at the bottom where it didn’t close right. Caroline the breakfast attendant was WONDERFUL! She’s super warm & friendly to all & a super hard worker. I’d come back just to see her she’s that AWESOME & FRIENDLY.

Good hotel, good staff. Small bathroom. Good room for the value. I would stay here again. Nice garden area outside the rooms and breakfast area.

I stay here several nights per month due to work. All of the staff are personable and helpful. Rooms and beds are comfortable; good basic amenities. Caroline makes a very good breakfast.

It was a comfortable place to rest, but very well worn. The staff were amazing and very friendly! Close to many restaurants and stores.

Let me preface this by saying I have a smoking room which may have been passed over for renovation (which I wouldn't blame them. The room is a bit dated and needs some TLC, but it's fine for the price. The staff is very nice and helpful. The pillows are small, but nicer than another hotel I stayed at last week. I had trouble sleeping because even with the AC at 65, it was still humid an uncomfortable, but it's NC, isn't it always? The free breakfast is satisfactory, on par with most hotels in the price range.

Excellent experience in every respect- convenience and comfort of room, reasonable price, complete and good tasting breakfast , close to hiking and nature photography forest area, which was main purpose of visiting.

Very nice motel and staff. The check in/out staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast lady was a hoot! The beds were satisfactory and not as firm as an earlier commenter wrote. We will definitely return.

This is one of the better deals. A good quality room at a very reasonable price. I'd n ot hesitate to stay here again if I am in the area.

For an open hotel, this one is one of the better ones. Very clean and well kept and quiet. Towels and bedding are very soft and fluffy. Beds are very firm and I'd recommend bringing your own pillow. But for a last minute stay at a very affordable price, there's not much to complain about.

Although there were some (relatively small) issues, our overall stay far exceeded what we expected for an economy stay. Hot breakfast was a nice surprise (including delicious biscuits and gravy) as was the large outdoor pool. Would happily come back!
