Clean, decent room but for the price paid, the room could really use to be updated and some worn items replaced. The deadbolt lock didn't fully engage and the couch had a very visible hole in it. I've paid less money for nicer rooms in more populated areas. The exterior looks fine and the breakfast was good and came in handy.
This place was very nice and clean .The staff were so very polite Stephanie at the front desk has the best customer service skills I have ever had in a stay . I will Defiantly recommend this place !
Excellent location for exploring Hill Country. Very friendly and helpful stuff. Rooms are tired and there is a strong smell of disinfectant. Bathrooms need some renovations. Breakfast is OK, nothing too spectacular. Convenient parking. Rather large garden where guests can walk their dogs – great feature! Overall nice, convenient and friendly but a bit old hotel with price a bit too high for quality of rooms.
Very nice/updated room, very clean. Absolutely loved the *private*, outdoor pool area, a rarity! The pool is located in the center of the parking lot, surrounded by pretty trees, a private oasis, rather than on display in plain view, in front of the entire hotel, like most places, great job! Reception was lovely and helpful, pleasant eating area with snacks available all day. Beautiful grounds & landscaping. The room was perfectly clean & very comfy!
Stayed here during a weekend of exploring the hill country with my boyfriend. What a great place! Staff was very friendly and helpful, the place was clean and well kept. Quiet and peaceful stay, and you can't beat the price. Complementary breakfast was excellent and made fresh. (Which also included Texas shaped waffles, my favorite) We will definitely book another stay when we are in the area!
Nice hotel for the price. Exterior is ranch style scene and hotel is an old fashion park in from of your unit style. Very comfortable bed and great place to stop for the noght when traveling. Microwave is older model and noisy but works fine. Bed very comfortable and room very near and clean.
Lovely hotel in the hill country. (Pet friendly, big plus!) Loved the ambiance of their gazebo, patio swing, picnic tables under the beautiful trees outside! I came back to stroll the lovely area at night and sit for awhile on the swing. Though I didn’t get a chance to use the pool, it was also very nice. I will be back to explore the area when can enjoy a longer stay!
Really like this place. I am disabled, the the lift into the swimming pool made it nice. Wife also likes the swing where she can go to read. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Employees were nice and friendly.
This Best Western Hotel was a very pleasant surprise indeed! Caring staff, very clean rooms and a superb breakfast buffet made us feel well cared for.
We will definitely go back there on our next trip to the Hill Country.
Nice place to stay in Johnson City Tx. The motel was full every night but we never heard trucks leave or noise at night. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning. I especially liked the raspberry sauce for the texas waffles. It was also nice to have fresh fruit to put on waffles.
Everyone was very attentive to any needs we had and the room was clean and well taken care of while we were there. Enjoyed the pool as well.
I am always very satisfied when I stay at the Best Western in Johnson City, periodically when our extended, local family hosts too many house guests during family gatherings. Very clean, courteous and friendly staff, and love the outside garden. It is a safe place to stay if you're a single person. It's fun to visit downtown - very close to the hotel - tour the LBJ childhood home visitors' site, eat at a cozy restaurant, and see the antique shops and art galleries. Keep up the good work!
I do business in Johnson City and this Best Western is awesome. Rooms are really nice and the breakfast is better than most hotels. The staff is great. They seem to actually enjoy their jobs. The grounds are clean and there is a little park attached to the hotel that is really cool. I wont stay anywhere else down there.
Friendly, helpful staffclean & comfy room & bedgood night's sleep followed by a very generous HOT breakfast in a bright, cheerful dining room decorated overnight for the holidays in a most non-commercial, non-cookie cutter wayall in all a great start to the holiday seasonhow nice to feel really welcome as a person and not just a source of incomecan definitely recommend this unassuming but special hotel in tiny Johnson City.
Did not stay canceled my reservation and was still charged for a night stay. I should have gotten a refund for reservation cancellation. I will not consider staying at this chain of hotels in the future. Therefore I give them no stars
Hotel location was great. We stayed here because we attended a wedding in Dripping Springs, it was only 20 minutes away. The next day we visited Becker Winery which we highly recommend and went to an antique mall in Fredericksburg. All very easy to get to from this hotel. It was a nice stay overall, the breakfast was great. Check in was fairly easy, we had a little trouble with payment. I wanted to pay part cash and part card-the whole amount was charged to card. She said that's the process and that it would be that way for 3 days-meanwhile they had a 100 bill I'd given them. So I decided to keep it all on my card and get my 100 back. The woman at check in did this no problem and apologized for not having said something before. The room's lighting was pretty dim, it was a little difficult getting ready, but it turned out okay. Even though I'd still give our experience 4 stars and would recommend this hotel if someone were staying in the area. We would also be back. Thanks!
I booked this hotel for my business trip. Frontdesk staff was very helpful and friendly. Wifi and brealfast was superb. Owner of the hotel were great. Room were spacious and clean. I recommend this hotel to everyone.
When we arrived the rep was very friendly and attentive. We had our two dogs with us and she went into the back and her mother came out who I assume is the owner and she handed my wife a hand made dog blanket with treats and said it was ours to keep. How awesome for our four legged friends!!! The area to walk pets or to just walk around is beautiful. Lots of chairs and swinging chairs to sit in. Room was nice and comfortable. If going on wine tours etc will stay here again.
