Their breakfast buffet is great. Room was recently remodeled, very nicely. Stayed 2 nights after live-aboard dive trip. Location is great, easy to roll my luggage from Sea Landing marina, lots of restaurants nearby.

This was one of my worst hotel stays ever considering the cost was 300 per night!!
Room was very small. Hard to move around.
    No water in the fridge.
Had to pay for parking (this was the first ever)!!!
    Room smelled.
A/C didn't make our stay comfortable. It would be too hot or too cold.
Shower was hard to work with took 5 mins to heat up then it would be too hot and you would change that and it would be too cold.
Breakfast was decent, only good point.. and TV worked too
We travel a lot! I would definitely recommend against staying in this hotel.
I know it's a 2 star hotel but 300/per night? It was worth about $50 per night.
And then they didn't let up stay an extra hour. said we have to leave by 12 or they would charge us for another night!!

We chose this hotel because of the good ratings it received. They are definitely justified! Our room was large, attractive and spotlessly clean. There was lounge for watching TV and a nice window seat. We were there for four nights, so the large closet came in handy. Since I'm a light sleeper, the light-blocking shades were welcome. The AC was relatively quiet for a hotel room AC. We also took advantage of the in-room fridge and microwave. It was nice and quiet during our stay.

The free hot breakfast was nothing fancy, but there was something for everyone: a rotating selection of eggs and breakfast meat, pancakes, cereal, yogurt, toast, biscuits and gravy, juice and fresh fruit. The only thing I missed was yogurt without artificial sweetener.

The staff was super friendly and made us feel welcome. The beach was a short walk of a couple of blocks. The outdoor shower by the pool area was great to wash off sand and salt water before getting in the pool or going to our room.

I'm very happy that we chose this hotel for our stay at South Padre Island. We'll definitely stay there again whenever we go back.

The staff is stellar! So kind and helpful. The breakfast was great complete with made to order espresso service. The room could have been cleaner and the decor needs to be updated but for a basic room it was comfortable and the bed was good. The hotel is under construction and I look forward to revisiting and seeing the updates. I would definitely stay again. The staff really won us over.

We stayed one night at this hotel, and although the Friday night stay was fairly pricey overall, all factors considered it was still a good value and priced appropriately for the surrounding options. The staff was friendly and helped to accommodate us to check in early and gave us a parking pass early. The rooms are small, but decently appointed and in good condition. When you take into account the Beach area, large rooms are most likely impossible to find unless you want to pay 3x the price. Easy walking distance to State St and the "funk zone" where most of the Santa Barbara wineries have tasting rooms. Located directed across from the western end of the beach and the public pool.

The property is currently under much needed renovation (seems like it hasn't been done since the 80's). The staff was clear about construction when we booked, so we expected it.

The staff was friendly, breakfast was nice, and location very nice. I expect the place will be lovely after renovations.

I did find it strange that there was a very large power line hanging only 5 feet or so from our balcony - so don't expect a "view" on the parkside if you are on the 2nd floor.

Large clean rooms, nice staff, good breakfast (granola was a plus!). Coffee and tea always available. Right next to the harbor boardwalk, easy walk to the beach, and quick ride to shops, restaurants, and wine tasting rooms. Though parking isn't included, it was inexpensive, only $5/night.

Great location across the street from the harbor. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was good. The construction noise was somewhat annoying but we were not there much during the day. We also appreciated the free EV parking. All in all a great value.

Best Western Beachside is a GEM!! They have done some excellent renovations to the building. There is a breakfast bar and dining area with really good food for all ages and great coffee, tea, cocoa, and lemon-mint ice water plus bowl of fresh fruits served all day. This place is perfectly located right across from the harbor and down from the pier -- lots of great restaurant choices within walking distance. It's quite an ideal place to stay!!! We will be back

Wonderful place for a relaxing get-away. It has a beautiful view of the ocean or park. Located on the beach close to restaurants and a great place to stroll. Just a short drive or long walk to the action in downtown Santa Barbara. Very friendly, welcoming staff. Very reasonable price for a super experience!
