It was fun, the kids loved it, the tour is cheap but very short. The tour consists of watching a 6 minute video about the history of Ben & Jerry's and what the company stands for. After that, you go to a viewing area to see where the ice cream is made, but all you can really see is the lids getting put on the containers and the containers and lids whipping around. They make jokes and talk to you about the history while you watch. The best part is the tasting that you get in the next room. They serve everyone one a small sample of ice cream, probably about two tablespoons worth. The ice cream was very good, but you don't get much of it. There is a souvenir shop and an ice cream shop that you can get Ben & Jerry's ice cream at.

The tour is fun but kinda short and this place is sure to get crowded on a rainy day. It’s hard to say if it’s worth your money. The gift shop is nice but things are on the pricey side. The tour includes a free sample of a flavor, and my favorite thing is that the sample isn’t on of those cute mini spoonfuls, it’s a whole scoop for yourself. Over all it was pretty pleasant experience. The staff was friendly and upbeat with their cow puns. The factory and facilities themselves are clean and nice.

Great family place with really good ice cream and though it is now owned and operated by Unilever it has still kept its original founders core ideas and sense of community. They give tours, offer ice cream making class and serve a variety of flavors. Lots of visuals, collectables, etc. Gift shop is small, there are stairs to climb or a path weather permitting, not for the faint of heart but there is a drop off and handicapped parking at the top of the drive. Bathrooms are small as well compared to the ratio of people that visit, plan accordingly in warmer weather. Four ice cream windows with two huge bay doors that open in warmer weather. My favorite part of B&J was the graveyard for retired flavors.

Love love love coming here! We drove 3.5 hours with the kids just to come get the tour and some ice cream.. the your is cute and you learn a few things that you might not have known. Plus the ice cream sample is a nice bonus. The gift shop is not over what you would expect a gift shop prices to be. The I've cream graveyard is funny and we'll put together. Great place for kids!

Fun place to learn about the history of the company.
Tour is $4/adult, kids under 12 are free. The tour happens every half an hour (is 12:00, 12:30, 1:00 etc) and it takes approx 30 min. It does include a sample of their choosing. The sample is not huge, but not too small either. The tour guide Susan was very pleasant.
Gift shop and ice cream at the counter are expensive. Ice cream should be less expensive especially since they're producing it right there!
It's still a cool stop especially when coming back from Stowe.response / report this review -

Such a fun and tasty place to visit. The guided tour is super affordable and comes complete with an ice cream sample at the end! What can be better than that?
There is also an ice cream shop so you can have your favorite flavor scooped fresh and a gift shop.
Don't miss the flavor graveyard where you can pay your respects to the retired flavors. It's just a short stroll from the factory, up the hill just past a great playground for the kids!response / report this review -

Such a great time! The tour was an hour long and just $4 for adults, and ended with a generous sample of ice cream! The whole property is cute and charming, and the flavor graveyard was fun. The gift shop was reasonably priced and every staff member we encountered was super friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy their job.

We were like kids in a candy shop. Err ice cream parlor. Pay for the tour. It's worth the wait and the $3. You get to try a tiny scoop of a Ben & Jerry's flavor that will never make it to the sales floor. We had strawberry hibiscus. Oddly good. The staff have a lot of fun with their jobs and made the tour even more enjoyable. Be sure to see the graveyard while you're there and bid your favorite discontinued flavors adieu.

Ben & Jerry's is a great company and the ice cream is great but the factory is overrated. The tour is pretty basic and underwhelming (though getting to try some exotic ice cream flavors at the end almost makes it with while). There ice cream graveyard is cool, but nothing more than what you can find on the internet. The gift shop has some cool stuff (and you don't need to take a tour to shop there). Also be prepared for a long wait, the place is very popular.

The best ice cream on the planet with the nicest people. Really an awesome place for people of all ages and places to come together and share their love for ice cream. This factory also offers tours where samples of ice cream are given out, sometimes flavors that haven't even been released. Overall an amazing experience and worth the drive. Would recommend to anyone passing by that's an ice cream lover.

I loved our trip to Ben and Jerry's! The "tour" was really short but it's only $4. If I had paid more I would've been disappointed. That being said it was a fun time. There wasn't a long wait time since they have tours every 10 minutes. My fiancé and I loved our trip here! Would recommended it to anyone.

Worse tour ever. Quirky video; glad it was short. Onto a mezzanine overlooking a bunch of machines. There was no production going on, so just our guide rambling on. Complete waste of time and money. Use your $4.00 towards a cone and walk the grounds.

Overall, the tour was cool, and well worth the $4 it cost. That being said, the tour was a total of 25 minutes, 7 of which were a silly video about the company's history. Frankly, I found it uninteresting. The Factory itself is much smaller than expected. Ice Cream sample at the end was great. One other point of note, the political views of the company's founders are never far away at this location. I prefer my ice cream free of politics.

The tour was pretty short and there wasn't much to see since the factory is fairly small. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and it would have been nice to spend more time checking things out with a guide instead of spending 1/3 of the tour watching a movie. We went on a Saturday and had to wait for about 45 minutes in line to get ice cream. The flavor graveyard was pretty cool, but you can always check that out without buying a tour ticket.

Super fun touristy thing to do in the Burlington area! Best $4 I ever spent on a tour. Really interesting and fairly quick tour and history of the company that ends with a free sample. There's a small ice cream shop outside where you can purchase a cone or cup. I am only giving this four stars because I think having a petting zoo with some of the cows who (supposedly) provide the milk for the ice cream and some chickens who (supposedly) lay the eggs in the ice cream would have just been icing on this cake, but really would be a nice, fun addition.

Nice place to take kids. They would enjoy it. I went with my friend and it was small and quiet ambience. The production wasn't happening st the time we were there, which was a downside though.

The entire operation was a great learning experience. Definitely go during the off season; we went during the fall and there was hardly a wait. However, the parking lots are huge, indicating serious traffic during the peak season. At the end of the factory tour you get to taste Ice Cream that isn't released yetwe had Apple Pie. On the other side, they also have a graveyard of Ice Creams you can visit. It's some of the flavors they have discontinued. Thanks for the experience!

The flavor graveyard is amusing. The tour was enjoyable and the free sample delicious! No special flavors or discounted prices or anything like that though. There is a small playground for kids to play on and a few good photo opportunities outside.
