Everyone I've ever known to go here has had complications after surgery, and some have even died. If you value your health and life, don't go here.

All Dr's, nurses & staff treated me very well. Impressed by the private room/suites l, computers, and updated electronics in every room.

If i could give this place a negative 10.. I would! Gonna sue them! they denied my service dog after i had four back to back seizures. They were rude. They broke ADA laws saying that it was Hospital policy to deny access to service dogs. Like their policy trumps Federal law. Even the paramedics who brought me in were pissed. Thank God they took my to CMAC General. Avoid Thomas at all cost! they don't care about you!

Mixed bag. This summer I went in to the ER for an injury to my hand. I was in and out in less than an hour and everyone was friendly and helpful.

Recently I’ve needed testing done. Thomas’ scheduling people have messed that up every way imaginable. I’ve been told fasting tests were scheduled just to show up and find out they weren’t, I’ve been told totally different dates and times by centralized scheduling than what was on the hospital books when I showed up. I’ve lost a lot of time to this.

The medical staff themselves are great, but scheduling is a mess and the facility is never clean (but I’ve never been inpatient which sounds like maybe it’s in better shape).

Waited over 3 hours to be seen in the er.
Finally saw a pa no help.
I'm positive i will be charged a staggering fee for nothing.
Find better health care if possible.
A person should have to pay for health care that works.
Just like a product if it doesn't work get you're money back.

I took my fiance to Thomas ER on 9-3-2017.He was very I'll.He was short of breathe.coughing.wheezing and in a lot of pain. The ER was empty only a couple sitting there. He was seen a half hour later.Once seen in triage he was giving a room. The room had no bed made.left over supplies left from previous patient. The room was filthy.no pillow nothing. The nurse saw me some time later. He was suffering. Finally he was seen by the Dr.My fiance was admitted 30+days ago for a broken rib.pleurisy pneumonia copd he stayed three days.We made this clear. The Dr.George was his name stated that "I see 4days ago here in the ER we gave you a chest xray and their is no signs of pleuracy pneumonia or any problems.".also stating that I was prescribed Percocet 4 days ago."we stated he was wrong it was 34 days since discharged. The Dr.downed him raised his hand in his face saying we were wrong.while admitted the nurse on Fourth floor never answered our questions nor came around.it was a ghost town on her floor.my fiance ask for ice packs. He was told after a long wait."I am still looking for one to fit you" what does that meanplease people if you care don't ever go to Thomas Hospital.NO ONE CAN BE HELPED WHILE THIER EMPLOYEES ARE OUT SMOKING BEFORE AND AFTER SHIFT CHANGES.

My uncle here right now after 40 bee stings and can't feel his body and went in emergency part and they tell him to sign papers. They too stupid to realize people in pain, can't control their pain enough to sign papers. Why not after you treat him??

My girlfriend got very sick from a local Mexican place. Threw up for 3 days straight. My mother brought her to Thomas while I was working. Worst possible experience. And its still happening.

They tried to discharge her while she was throwing up. Then when we refused the discharge and demanded forceful discharge papers a doctor miraculously showed his face. The nurse never told him Dorothy was still sick.

As of me typing this we are currently waiting for a endoscopy that was postponed three days back to back. It has now been an entire week of throwing up for her in this Hell hole. This entire time nursing for the most part has been slow and the excuses are aplenty. They literally have never answered a single question we have asked. Its always: "We will let you know when we know".

Bottom line: This place is horrible. I understand my situation is bad. But even a person that isn't bias and has half a brain would agree that my girlfriend isn't being given proper medical care. Do yourself and/or your loved one a favor . . . Never come to Thomas Memorial Hospital.

One star is even a stretch. The ER at Thomas hospital has easily been the worst experience I've ever had. I was expecting a wait, it's the ER. But once we finally got back to be seen, no one told us anything, they just stuck us in a dirty room with blood all over the floor and a dirty IV next to the trash can. The board on the wall notifiying us who would be taking care of us today hadn't been updated in over a week. After sitting in a dirty room with no information what so ever, what I can only assume was the dr. Showed and proceeded to rip off the bandage on my husbands bleeding thumb then say something about soaking it and he can go home, then left for another 45 mins. I can say for sure, that I wouldn't go there ever again even if it was the last choice on earth.

They took horrible care of my dad and me as patients. I took care of him because he wasn't attended to and I myself was left without a nurse there for hours & not cared for after having a baby. I had my other child at CAMC & it was a great experience. The ER is awful too. It has the longest wait in town.

The nursing staff on the floor where my stepdad has been for a week is horrible. They haven't changed his sheets or bathed him in 5 days. We have no answers to any questions and no definitive diagnosis after 10 days. This has been and continues to be the WORST experience in a hospital anyone in our family has ever had. We will never come back. And if it wasn't for my stepdad not wanting to start from scratch with tests, we would have transferred him a long time ago. Nobody is on the same page and nobody cares. Shame on you Thomas Memorial. You used to be a good hospital. Not anymore.

The OB nurses that take care post moms are the reason bed pans were thrown into the hallways back in the old days. I've had all 3 of my babies there over a period of 10 years. Every time it got worse. This was by far the worst stay ever. I literally waited 45 minutes for medicine after it was time to take it. GGRR!!!! Apparently they dont know how bad a csection hurts! I'm glad I'm not having any more children because this visit would deter me from going back. The ob nurses are very rude. They hate to be bothered. Even though they werent busy and only had 3 to 4 patients each. They are all very young. So the turn over rate is high, obviously. My room wasn't cleaned properly. There was blood on the hand rail not sure if it was mine or someone elses. They wouldn't keep baby on the second night I had a csection and would have appreciated the rest and time to heal. The best part was the hospital food, no joke. Glad to be home. Cant wait to see the itemized statement they bill my insurance.

In our family we know this hospital as "where they send you to die". Have had 3 family members die here, and know of others that were severely injured due to maltreatment or otherwise misdiagnosed.

The ER staff loudly joke and gossip about patients at the nurses station, within earshot of others, pretty sure HIPAA violations are covered the first month of nursing school, so these nurses either didn't pay attention, or just don't care.
The docs aren't much better. You'd think they were gods the way their arrogance and egos are on display, unfortunately they are only human, & poor examples of that as well. I'd seriously go get a 2nd opinion if they told me the sky was blue, I have that little faith in ANYTHING they tell me. I've known so many people they've injured or killed, they should be charged with murder.

Good hospital. Clean. Private rooms even in ER. ER waits can be long though if you have a non serious injury ( needing stitches for a small cut, kidney stones, etc) if they're busy, but if you have a serious injury they almost always take you straight to triage. Better than CAMC any day. Much better food, too.

I would like to thank the staff of Thomas Memorial Hospital for the best customer service/ medical attention one could ask for. A big thank you to Heather (ER Nurse) and everyone else we came into contact with. Sorry I cannot not remember every name. Just thank everyone on duty Thursday September 8 through 11 - 2016 for taking care of my mother.

In ER 6 hours or more. This is a poor excuse for healthcare. I prefer CAMC but was told to bring my mom here. The staff is unprofessional. Waited until the waiting room was full to start triaging patients. Bathroom is nasty. Blood in seats. Someone urinated self and in seat. I told them this and no one come to clean it. Nurses are to be caring and compassionate. Today I have experienced nurses that are either in of career change or another class nursing.
