The Quick Lane is a very thorough place to take a vehicle for an oil change. Depending on the day and time, the wait can be long, but they have a nice waiting area. They do an inspection as well, and inform you of the state your vehicle, with suggestions and recommendations as well. The staff is usually friendly, always knowledgable.

In January of this year I purchased a used 2009 Super Duty truck from a dealer in Martinsville. I had asked a sales rep at Bedford Ford to keep an eye out for a late model used Super Duty with a specific configuration. After months I never heard back and found this one instead. Since I live and work in the Bedford/Bloomington area and am also a member of the Bedford Chamber I wanted to give Bedford Ford a chance at my maintenance business.

First full service was fine and I thought I had found a dealer/shop I liked. Then I had an issue with what appeared with all logic to be an emergency brake problem. The noise I would hear was in the rear and cycled with the current speed. It was not effected by applying the brake. When I would lightly apply the e-brake the noise would go away. After longer runs or heavy loads I could "feel" the drag of a sticking brake. Additionally I could smell the burnt brake smell when I'd stop.

The Service Department at Bedford Ford agreed and did an e-brake service costing $311. When I picked up the truck from this job the e-brake was not set. When I tested it my foot went straight to the floor. Nothing. (It did work prior). They tried to rig the newly replace e-brake without any luck. The shop then told me that the backing plate was rusted through and needed to be replaced, a very expensive job. I could see the rust they noted and did not doubt this diagnosis. So I agreed and spent another $678.

In the weeks after I could still feel a little drag and slightly smell that burnt brake smell from time to time. I did bring the truck back into the Service Department. They wanted to try and repeat the problem since they kept saying nothing was noticeably wrong. While they did not charge me for that visit they did burn through a third a tank of fuel.

l but after the three trips to the dealer and nearly $1000 I really didn't want another so I lived with occasional anomaly, until

On Labor day weekend I was pulling a heavy trailer/load to Ellettsville then returning with the trailer, no load, and a load of firewood in the bed. By the time I got home it felt like I was pulling a semi! The smell of burnt brake was pungent and the rear rims were hot enough I thought the tires might melt!

I called first thing Tuesday morning and made yet another appointment for Thursday the 7th. There was no solution after the entire day and I was told that a senior tech would look at it Friday. Later Friday I received a call informing me that the problem was the rear brakes themselves and what I needed was a $875 full rear brake service. I thought the problem was the e-brake?

The work was rushed to completion Friday afternoon and I was informed at the end of the day it was ready. Not enough time to get there and inspect the work with personal. I paid over the phone and picked up the truck after hours. I noticed right way that the e-brake was not doing a thing—again. With the e-brake fully depressed when I depressed the clutch the truck freely rolled on the very slight incline of where it was parked.

While I have not experienced the orignal problem yet this week, I've only driven the truck once, I have no functioning e-brake.

Logic would dictate that I bring it back again to have this resolved yet again but I'm afraid my pockets are empty, $1864 to date, I and now have little to no faith in the Service Department at Bedford Ford. I never thought this level of incompetence was possible.

Postscript: I sent the owner of the dealership the above and he responded asking for me to consider returning to have them fix it right. It took two more trips and several days in the shop but it was finally fixed correctly and my tank was filled up!

I know that mistakes happen, God knows I've make a few, and while their mistakes were plentiful in this case Bedford Ford did go way out of their way to make it right.

Every other dealer or bank I spoke to told me that I would not be approved without a cosigner, which was not an option for me. The wonderful staff at Bedford Ford heard my story and had no doubts that they could get me financed. I was able to leave the lot with the car I hand-picked, and they were patient with me in waiting for my down payment to come through. The only negative of my experience was that the car did not come with a full tank of gas—a small ($15) price to pay for an otherwise perfect experience!

Definitely recommend this place. The warranty policy on their used vehicles is a huge plus, and their service was top-notch. Polite, courteous, honest and helpful.

I was a little apprehensive about visiting a car dealership for the first time in 20 years. But the experience here was a positive one. Justin Sokeland and the rest of the staff at Bedford Ford Lincoln went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. I'd encourage anyone to check them out when looking for a new or used vehicle.

This dealership was a great choice for me. They had the best car deal in a 50 mile radius easy. I took my stepdad with me to go look at a red 2008 Ford Focus. My car dealer Justin was a fantastic help as well he was very helpful and was willing to work with me on the price a bit, due to the limit of my loan size. Also the finance guy Chad was great he explained everything nice and easy for me since this was my first car from a dealership. Even when I came unprepared with no insurance, Justin was able to help me on the stop and get some, so I could leave that day. If your looking for good deals and great service then Bedford Ford is were you wanna go to.

Rick Sparks made our car buying experience pretty darn good. There was no pressure to buy even though he knew I was looking at different brands. He let me test drive anything and everything I wanted because I wasn't sure what I wanted. Everyone in the team from Rick to the guy who handled our buying paperwork was awesome! We got exactly the SUV we were wanting (2017 Ford Edge) and love all the perks that come with being a Bedford Ford customer and a customer for life.

I bought my F-150 here and received exceptional customer service. The truck I bought was exactly what I wanted and the price was better than anyone else could do. I have also had great experiences with their service department when I've had routine maintenance. Great place to buy!
