Very friendly and helpful. They have great pricing options as well.
They have taken care of all our pets. The staff and Doctor Ott are excellent!!! I can't say enough about this Veterinarian Hospital!!
Our 17 year old cat needed immediate veterinarian help. It was a Holiday. Everything was closed.
Barton Heights welcomed us with open arms.
The care and concern and exemplary customer service experience from the techs and Doctor Smith was amazing! Come here! They care.
The people who work here care so very much about every animal that walks through their doors. We have brought our pets here for years, and every time they walk through the doors the people remember their names and come over to say hi to our babies. They take the time to explain what is happening and the various treatments available. They are sensitive to the financial strains a pet can put on a family, and always go the extra mile to help our pets in any way they can. WE LOVE THIS PLACE!
We've tried a few other local area vets and were eventually referred to Barton Height; we knew right away that it is a highly professional facility known for its comprehensive and quality care. The appointment times are very punctual, and they are open 24 hours a day. All the staff are very kind to us and our pets; if you want the best ask for AJ! I would highly recommend Barton Heights Veterinary Hospital.
We went to Barton Heights for our dog on 3/21/17. His name is Butter and he's a yellow lab mix. Overall, I think I could review this place much higher if it wasn't for the rude and downright condescending vet tech we had.
Let me start by saying I understand this is the care industry, customer service is not the main priority but when somebody comes in with an emergency, the last thing they want is to feel like they're being judged by a snarky vet tech.
It started when I first called with the emergency. My dog was throwing up and there was blood in it so I called around and was referred to Barton Heights. I did not know it was an emergency vet clinic so I asked what the hours were and that was where her attitude began and once we eventually made it there, her attitude continued through the entire time we were there.
Obviously I'm writing this review weeks later but that's how much it bothered me. My wife was already extremely upset about our dog having health issues to begin with so having to deal with this unprofessional tech made things even worse.
She even went as far as to contradict the vet at the end with the amount of food to give Butter. The Vet told us to give him a certain amount of cans every day before he left and when we were brought to the check out window, the vet tech told us a different amount. She clearly had a disregard for the vet as well.
The actual vet (Dr. Smith?) was great. He was extremely kind and understanding. We also called later in the night as we were worried about the amount of saliva in his mouth. The vet tech who answered then was infinitely better. If the first vet tech we had was even half as nice as the lady who answered the phone when we called back at 3 AM this would have been a five star rating.
Unfortunately, I don't think we would return to Barton Heights because of the possibility that we would get that tech again. She was just unprofessional, rude, condescending, and judgemental. If you would like specific instances of how she was unprofessional, I would be happy to give you a detailed description of our interaction with her.
Thank you for the service you provide, it's unfortunate that one bad apple can really ruin something.
Extremely nice and caring staff. May be a little more expensive there but it's worth it. Their care is top notch. Our family has been coming here for over 30 years.
The vet techs and doctors at Barton Heights are an amazing group of people. They take the time to get to know you and your pet, and to come up with treatment options that fits your budget while providing the best possible care for your pet.
Dr. Burch was very caring and compassionate when we had to euthanize our German Shepherd back in October, and explored every possible avenue to possibly help save Loki but ultimately determined he was too sick to save (we lost him to kidney failure at two and a half years old due to possible bad breeding/in-breeding from the person we got him from).
Anyway, the way Dr. Burch and his team handled that situation showed us just how amazing they can be, and we have been taking our senior Corgi Misty there now, too. Misty's old vet was more concerned with running up the bill by recommending every possible test under the sun and used her age as a scare tactic to rope us into spending more money. Barton Heights is the exact opposite in that they present the client with an estimate on what they feel is the ideal treatment and go over every possible option before you have to pay, they are willing to work within your budget and offer health plans and Care Credit, too. Their prices are extremely reasonable, even their pharmacy is affordable, too. Because of this and their pleasant demeanor, I will not take my pets anywhere but Barton Heights from here on out.
My mom's dogs go here. They are pricey but very thorough when attending your fur baby. And staff is very loving towards your pet.
We had to take our pup in at almost midnight to get his tail looked at. They were very knowledgeable and figured out what he had pretty quickly. The vet gave us what we needed without pursuing any extra (and more expensive) tests. Fairly reasonable pricing too, compared to what I'm used to down near Philly.
The highest quality animal care! I simply don't agree with the prices. Emergency visit is 100$ just to walk in and talk to someone. However there really is the best staff and best Dr's. Don't buy your specialty dog food here though, you will get ripped off.
