I was there for skilled care and physical therapy and the staff did a great job. They all treated me well and took good care of me. I would recommend the skilled nursing services at Barnesville Hospital and the emergency dept. The ER doctor (Dr Gatz) quickly diagnosed my hernia was strangulated and got me into surgery that evening.
Wow. I went in this morning around 7. Walked up to the window, then followed a nurse straight to the back. Everyone was super friendly. Dr.Baum is the Bomb! Lol very clean sterile enviroment in the E.R. They had my problem foxed up and i was on my way before the lady at the front desk even had my hospital arm band placed on me. And i even had a very small procedure in my room! Ive never been in a facility that was so fast and genuinely care to solve you problems. Too bad I live in Alabama Our hospitals are much slower.
3.5 hours and still not in to see doctor, one doctor in ER to see patients and terrible. Will never come here again this is poor management of hospital I've ever been to not to mention understaff, and not friendly not much help..
Worst emergency department in the valley. My mother fell and broke her arm and Barnesville hospital put a splint on it. Then they sent her home and told her to follow up with an orthopedic doctor in Cambridge on Monday. Bear in mind this was Saturday afternoon when we were there. So my mother calls Monday morning and that doctor can't see her this week and is on vacation next week. What the hell. Barnesville hospital provides terrible care and will refer you to doctors not knowing if they accept new patients. If you need a bandaid they have it covered. But if you have a real medical issue, go somewhere else because these yahoo's have no damn idea what they are doing.
Only er doctor I don't like was Gatz I find him rude and a smart ass can't diagnosis u right either I'm still sick
Too expensive Drs just do guess work at what's wrong ..one dr told us I don't know what's wrong? They send you bill every other day.. I got three today for past services Take my advice and go to Wheeling
