Absolutely the worst hospital ever been to you will be better off jumping off a bridge without a parachuet don't even bring your dog there if you are a concerned loving person please don't go to Harrison Community Hospital if I could give them a negitive rating they would not have a big enough number

If it was a real emergency with blood gushing, I would be dead. It was the weekend when we came in and it was like a ghost hospital. Nobody was at the front door and there were no signs to follow. I wandered the place for 5 good minutes before I started yelling for help. Finally a nurse showed up and didn't even seem concerned. This is the last place you want to go if you have an emergency.

The medical staff was Great.
Tammy in Registration was rude , loud and even "challenged me" in the waiting room. And stood in front of me starting for almost a minute.

If there was a negative rating I would choose that. My husband went in the er for severe abdominal pain on a Saturday night. He was told by Dr. Pecar he had appendicitis and he would have to be transferred for surgery because they do not have a surgeon on the weekends. We were transferred to Wheeling and there was told he did not need surgery because it wasn't appendicitis. If it had been a weekday he would have had emergency surgery for a condition he didn't even have!
I will say the nurses are very kind and attentive.
