The firecracker shrimp is amazing. Make sure you call ahead, wait time can be crazy some days. Overall, it's always a pleasant experience.
The service was horrible, waitress was almost non existent and when she did show up she clearly had an attitude problem. Furthermore, the order was completely incorrect from missing food, food prepared incorrectly and even missing drinks from the bar. Food items were sent back, allergies were ignored I am not sure how they could have done worse.
This is the first time eating here. Our waiter was very nice and knowledgeable of food and drink. Didn't rush us told us to take our time. The food was good. We got the coconut shrimp. Very good. And the jerk chicken with bowtie pasta. Also very good. Went there on a Saturday around 3:30. Good time to go.
The look from the outside will give you a really good idea of what you can expect on the inside. This is a restaurant that has a beautiful tropical feeling to it and whisks you away immediately to one of our keys down south. The menu is extensive and varied with everything from fish and shellfish to meat and creations that could be on any vegetarian plate as well. The staff is well-informed and very helpful. oh, and did I mention the food is absolutely delicious? They have a large bar on the inside and plenty of room for outdoor seating when the weather permits. Drinks range from exotic tropical temptations, to your standard classic highballs, and plenty of brews and wines to satisfy any taste.
Good food. Creative cocktails. Attentive service. This is one of the very few chain restaurants I visit. Consistently a positive overall experience.
My husband is from Barbados, we have been looking for a place that sold Caribbean food. Today was his birthday so I asked him if he would like to try Bahama Breeze. I pulled up the menu for him. After I had viewed it. I knew once he seen the curry goat bowl and the taste of Jamaica, he would be sold. And sure enough he was. Everything we had was awesome. And he took the curry goat bowl home. Will, are server was awesome. We are already talking about when we will visit again. Next time I would like to go when the DJ playing.
I'm a big fan of Bahama Breeze, especially their Aruba Red beer. The food is usually really good, and the service is excellent to match. The only reason for the 4 stars is that my girlfriend has left there feeling a little off the last 2 times we've been there. It could be some spice they use, or that their normal food is made in the same location as shellfish of which she has an allergy. We will have to ask next time we go.
I hadn't been to Bahama Breeze for years because we don't have one in Columbus Ohio where I live, but had good memories of past visits. My wife and I were on an anniversary trip near Cleveland last weekend and stopped into one off the highway on the way home. The food was absolutely fantastic and the service was great. I had a pork tenderloin with just the right amount of spice along with their Aruba Red house beer. The combination of flavors between these and the sides for my entrée was unique and wonderful. I highly recommend Bahama Breeze!
Visited with my mother and she ordered a combo entree that includes conch fritters and I ordered the conch fritters appetizer. Found out they were out of it so the server told her what other items she could have instead as part of her entree. She did not want what the mgr offered but asked if she could have a crab cake instead and the answer was no. So instead she ordered the shrimp and grits. The shrimp was good but the grits had a strange texture and she said they had the feel and taste of very instant grits. She did not eat them.
For dessert she ordered key lime pie and again was told thAt they were out. At that moment the mgr came by to apologize and explained how their delivery truck now comes on Sundays so that means that they will occasionally run out of items. Really? At that point the mgr did comp her entree and another dessert we decided to split. On a high note the server was top notch and we let him know that our tip would reflect management's issues. I do not think we will be going back.
The food was great, the service not so great. Honestly, it was just one server that was rude, she may have been having a bad day so I won't smear her name. We asked for another server, his name was Mitch, he was awesome.
The menu is full of flavor. The drinks are good and not watered down. The mashed sweet potatoes were perfect.
We did not have to wait on food and the waiter was nice. The kitchen gave us a half order of the Trinidad Chicken Curry Bowl instead of the full amount, but the waiter noticed and immediately gave us another portion. The manager also came to apologize in person.
Great food, great atmosphere, great drinks, great music, great service. MITCH IS THE VERY BEST SERVER WE EVER HAD, HANDS DOWN. Very consistent evert me is a great time. Top 5 places to eat in Cleveland. My wife and I will return soon.
Wait on Saturday was over an hour. Food was good not great. There was an entire section of the restaurant that was not avaliable looked like at least 30-50 seats. It may have been closed due to weather really not sure.. They did have live music at the bar. May try again during the week when it's not so busy.
Waitress was attentive, had excellent suggestions. Food was done very well-not too processed tasting more fresh tasting, coming from someone who lived in Key West for 6 years- conch fritters are awesome but small compared to the islands, and the specialty drinks were very amazing even though they weren't copying any of the drinks from the islands entirely. The desserts are very rich and filling besides being yummy!
This is long over due so my apologies. I took my mother to Bahama Breeze in June for her birthday along with family and friends to celebrate her birthday. The manager Steve Sopko was AMAZING. There were about 15 in our party and he really accommodated us. The reservation started out with only 10 but more showed up. I am so big on customer service and he definitely went over and beyond. While we waited for our tables he made a very pretty blue mini cocktail for about a dozen of us and it was complimentary. We then had two other guests show up and he accommodated them as well. I would like to say to Steve keep up the great work that you do. I can tell you love your job. Because of you and how you treated my guests and me I will definitely be back.
