  Secluded spot in south eastern Kentucky. It has a small parking lot and there are 2 hiking trails.

  Nice trail, mostly shaded. If you only want to see the waterfall, the trip is a little over 2 miles round trip. On the way in, the last bit of the hike is very steep and you have to climb over some rocks to get to the waterfall. It's doable, but wear good shoes and take your time. We were a little disappointed that the waterfall was basically just a trickle when we were there. We still had fun and hope to come back when it has rained recently.

  Bad Branch Falls is a beautiful, (mostly) undisturbed nature preserve. The hike to the falls is somewhat technical and not for those who have trouble getting around (not handicap friendly). If you go this site, please be respectful of the preserve, overage all posted rules and regulations and most of all BE CAREFUL- there are venomous snakes. Also, do not attempt to climb the rocks, they are slick and we (the local rescuers) aren't fans of carrying your broken body out. Thanks and enjoy your visit!
