I absolutely love this place and was so disappointed to see it shut down. We were looking forward to making a few trips there this summer, but upon calling & checking to see if the rates had changed, a woman informed me they were closed for good. I was crushed! Hands down, they were the best site to camp in the rrg area.

Just got into a fight with the host on the campgrounds facebook page. Very poorly ran. Especially treating paying customers that way and blasting them on Facebook. Don't go here, don't waste your money.

DON'T GO HERE!!!

The old lady accused me of stealing and sneaking my family in before looking at her paperwork. I asked her respectfully to check her paperwork before just accusing someone and she told me " if you don't like it pack your stuff and go somewhere else". So I got my money back and did just that. I will never return and will tell everyone about this. In the end she was in the wrong and she clearly does not know how to run a business. Kinda sad as we have supported this camp site for years. Red River Adventure camping has our business from now on.

Place is great. Spent 3 days there. River, ponds. Mike is genuine guy. Fire wood for sale. Very rustic. No running water. Out house. The location is quiet and relaxing. $10 person. Well with it.

My girlfriend and I had our first ever camping experience here. We had no idea what to expect, but it turned out to be a great experience. The campground is clean and well-kept. It's perfect for first time campers who want a "true camping experience". The woman who runs the place was beyond welcoming and made sure we enjoyed our time at the campsite. I'm so glad we chose Red River Gorge Campground!

This is our favorite camp site when visiting Natural Bridge/Red River Gorge area. The property is beautiful and clean. The owners are extremely friendly. The port - a - pots are cleaner than most restaurants. No electricity/water hook ups, but if primitive camping in a breathtaking place is your thing, come visit this place. Most sites have a bench and fire pit. They will sell you wood, which comes with kindling and some newspaper, and actually bring it to your site. Every site has its own name and personality. It is tucked in right along side Red River and they have a couple fishing holes to enjoy. We, my wife, three children (9,7,5) and myself, always race to the lake to get the morning bite. I would recommend this site above any other that we have we been to. It is an actual experience, compared to the cookie cutter sites that most are used to. We feel as safe as we do at home here, as if family is looking out for us. Hint: Black and Blue Buzz Bait in the evening sun, white top water in the morning. Please pitch them back so we can all enjoy the fights.

Awesome experience! Port a pots were clean, campsites were spread apart and beautiful. My only complaint is that the amount of wood you get for $20 is kinda small. You're better off getting it from Kroger and bringing it with you. Not a big deal but just a heads up. I will definitely be back!
