I stopped in last night to replace my ski boots. Chris was very helpful and knowledgable. He asked questions on what type of terrain I like to ski and be brought out a pair of boots that he thought might work. The first pair did not fit properly but then he brought out a pair of Lange Rx100's and we had a winner. I definitely recommend this ski shop and Chris.

I was very impressed with the price Aspen Ski & Board had on the board I was buying for a Christmas gift. $ I was saving over $60.00 more than anyone else was offering. It was going to be late for Christmas no matter what because I had found and ordered it so close to December 25th. I placed the order anyway. Then I get an email about an hour or so after I placed the order stating "MY ORDER HAD SHIPPED". WOW!! Now I am thinking could this be true? NAH!!! surely not. If it is it might show up in time for Christmas. My hopes are now rising. Sure enough the next day I get tracking information showing that my order will reach my house on December 21. Well sure enough I received my order today December 21. This has to be a family owned and operated business to provide this kind of customer service. If the scale went higher than 5 stars I would have given them a higher score. Thank you very much for the Great price and beyond EXCELLENT customer service Aspen Ski & Board!!!

Not a bad place. They have a huge selection and their equipment prices are great. There's always employees around if you have questions. They have an online eBay store too (or at least they did) so check that out. They offer free boot work if you buy your boots through them which is a great deal because boot work can be pricey. They offer a $7.95 hot wax, so if you don't do maintenance at home, stop in and get a hot wax. Your skis or board will thank you. Most shops charge $10-25 for a hot wax so this is a deal.
My only two gripes are for binding mount prices and time. Nothing like getting new boots and finding out you have to spend another $140 to mount or remount all your skis. A ski binding mount costs $70 which is the highest I've ever seen, even for Ohio. They can afford to charge this price because they're the only place in town other than REI. Typically these run around $30-50 in other states; Ohio is overpriced in general. It would be nice if a discount on binding mount was offered for buying boots through them (presently only for buying skis or bindings). Their binding release check price is lower than average which is nice. Also their remount fee is lower which is also convenient. They quote a 2+ week lead time to mount bindings. That's crazy in my opinion, but since they are the only ski shop in town I can understand this as their volume is probably quite high with a city like Columbus.
Overall great shop but binding mounting prices and installation time could use some work.response / report this review -

Incredible store. I went in for the first time and ended up purchasing a full snowboard, boot, and binding setup and had a great experience. AJ was the team member that was helping me out and he spent hours setting me up and answering all of my questions. Even got a free tune and wax with my purchase. Highly recommend this store to everyone that has any interest at all in skiing/snowboarding, regardless of knowledge of the sport or experience.

Stellar ski shop with extremely competitive prices, even better than many online stores. These guys went the extra mile to make sure I found the perfect boot to fit my foot. Super patient and very knowledgeable! Awesome experience.

I purchased a complete snowboarding setup from Aspen online. The staff were exceptionally helpful, taking the time to explain the differences between various configurations and how to maintain the equipment (i.e. board waxing). They even set up the boots and bindings on the board prior to shipment, to ensure that everything was a good fit. All of this, at a rock-bottom price. I will definitely be purchasing more equipment from them in the future.

I've bought 5 pairs of skis and 2 sets of boots from these guys and have always had great experiences. They have a great selection and reasonable prices. Staff is knowledgeable and willing to spend the time to make sure you get the right skis and boots to match your skill and ambitions.

Lost my business as of yesterday. Bought my wife a pair of boots and myself a pair a few weeks later. They did say that "They're in the business to make customers happy". They even told us to ski the boots and if they didn't feel right they would take them back. Well, don't expect your money back if there is an issue. My wife skied the boots once and realized that she was a better snowboarder and wanted to go down that route. We went in to exchange the boots for a snowboard boot as per the "try it out and see if you like them" policy and we were told they would only give us a $50 boot credit for a boot we paid $260 for a few weeks earlier. Main point: Don't feel pressured when you go in here. They bad mouth other stores and brag about being "Olympic boot fitters". They will say anything to get their product off the shelves. I was looking to buy new skis for myself later this season and a snowboard package for my wife (around $1500 worth of stuff). I do own my own business, and as a business owner, I'd be more focused on making sure the customer is happy, due to Ohio having a limited ski clientele.

Yet another great experience with this shop! My husband was in agony in his ski boots, and Mike did an excellent job of finding him boots that fit and feel great. I also bought new boots & skis at a great price. I am a ski instructor who has been a loyal customer of Aspen Ski & Board for many years, due to their excellent pricing and well trained staff. I recommend them to my students - they always have the best prices on the newest ski gear, and an awesome selection of clothing for the slopes to keep you warm and dry. Kudos to Gil the owner and all the staff for consistently offering quality service and great prices every year.

We have been going to Aspen Ski and Board for years and have had exceptional service. We started our kids skiing when they were 3 and 6 years old, they are now 14 and 17. The trade in program they have for kids is great! Our kids always loved going to the store and my oldest would say when she was little that she wanted to work there some day. She loved going there that much and now works there and loves working with the families and helping the kids. She tries to give them a fun experience as they pick out their ski gear just like she had when she was little. I highly recommend Aspen Ski and Board and not just because my daughter now works there but because the selection is the best in Columbus, you connect with people that love the winter season and the service is always friendly with a laid back vibe even when the store is packed with people. 5 star rating for sure!
