Wonderful shopping experience! Stan was very knowledgeable & extremely helpful. Loved the selections we had to choose from & the prices. I would highly recommend Art Van to anyone looking to buy furniture. And, Stan is the man!

Pete in sales was great - knowledgeable, patient and easy to talk with. Sales experience was a good one. We purchased a mattress and was told we would be called with a delivery date. On Wed, Pete called and wondered if I was available for a delivery on Friday. I was so it was set up. On Thursday, I received a call stating the mattress would be delivered on Monday. I explained that it had been arranged for Friday already and was told they were not able to deliver on Friday. Friday morning, as I was walking out the door for an appointment, I received an automated phone call stating the delivery was to take place "today" (Friday) sometime between 11:30 & 2:30. I called to explain the story and was then set up for a Monday delivery. The 2 men arrived on Monday morning (as was confirmed by a previous phone call) moved my current mattress into another room and placed my new mattress where the old one was, all without saying 2 words to me. When they were finished, they asked me to sign the delivery paper and promptly left - all without "rolling out the red carpet" or donning shoe covers - as the video said. No problem with the delivery process but, as they refer to it in the medical profession, they had very poor "bedside manner".

We were doing our Sunday grocery shopping and stopped into Art Van on 28th St. and we went in,.. we had a vague idea of what we thought we wanted. Anyway, Ramona came up to us and asked if she could help us out. Two hours later we ended up with a sofa, love seat, coordinating chair, and ottoman. Ramona showed us approximately 20 different options and explained in detail the pros and cons of each. What she was able to do is explain in detail every issue that you need to determine exactly what furniture and your price range fits your needs. We appreciated the detail because you feel much better. Great experience and we cant wait for it to be delivered.

A salesperson approached us immediately and took us to the area of furniture we were looking for. We found what we were looking for within 15 minutes. I wanted some measurements and “Ramona” got a tape measure and measured everything we needed. She then introduced us to the person selling mattresses (he was very good as well). Once we had everything picked out I asked about pricing and was provided with that very quickly.
We got we we were looking for, the service was attentive, professional and quick.

Gigi is amazing ❤️ Best customer service ever. She helped my husband and I on Black Friday 2017 and was super busy but still made time to help us in ever way possible. I’m so glad there are amazing people to deal with in customer service like her. Art Van you found a keeper with that sweetie ❤️

Don't buy anything here, very dishonest. Bought many pieces of furniture with warranties. My kitchen table started peeling and cracking after less than a year of owning it. Even though I paid for two additional warranties, it was not covered. Lesson learned and we won't return.

Salesperson, Corrine, was extremely helpful in explaining features and uses of pieces I was interested in. She knew anticipated the kinds of questions I had, and provided just enough information. She easily explained warranties, and shared with me that much of what Art Van carries is made in US, and even in made in Michigan. Spent a good sum, but not a bit of anxiety—simply thrilled with my purchases.

Art Van the master of the one day sale! Our experience here is the workers don't stop following you they don't let you have any space to even think, that alone made us leave! My dad has bought stuff from here and literally calls it junk! Talsmas maybe more expensive but totally worth it no pushy annoying sales people!

A very good experience working with Art Van overall. I would highly recommend going there for you mattress needs. We worked with James and Tom they were both excellent. They were helpful, insightful, and not a bit pushy.
We also decided to go with a couch in the clearness center based on its price/how it looked. The feat of purchasing this was a little more difficult. We had several people come to "help" when we didn't need it but couldn't find anyone to help check us out. We understood that to Art Van employees are meant to be at hand at a moments notice but it was strange we struggled so much to close a deal. Ultimately we had one of the mattress guys get someone to ring us up. Again overall it was a good experience with some weird parts. We are very happy with what we got and the price we paid. Will update if this changes.

Salesmen are dishonest. Last year in July, my wife went in to look at a new sofa and loveseat. She found a set that she really liked. The salesman then asked her about purchasing a fabric protection plan and an extended warranty.
She wasn't sure about purchasing those things, so she gave me a call and put me on the phone with the salesman. I asked him what the fabric protection plan covered. He explained to me that it covered just about anything other than what was intentional and if I were to say sit on the couch covered in grease. I told him that yes we would like that then and we bought it. I also asked him if the set had a manufacturer's warranty. He told me that it did have a one-year manufacturer's warranty, but that the extended warranty would cover us for even longer. I told him that since it had the one-year warranty, we were not interested in the extended warranty.
Fast forward about a month, my kids knocked over a candle and wax spilled on the sofa. My wife called Art Van and they told her that it would not be covered, but that they would send a technician out to take a look anyway. The first technician told her that it was definitely not covered, but that he could come back later and try to get the wax off anyway. He did not come back and they sent out another technician "as a courtesy". The second technician said there would be no problem and he got the wax off of the sofa.
Fast forward a couple more months. My wife and I noticed that the sofa is already starting to sag pretty badly. She called Art Van to have someone come out and take a look at it. She was told that because we did not purchase the extended warranty, we did not have a warranty. We have been fighting with them since then over this issue. I have a sofa that is less than one year old that sags like it is twenty years old and Art Van will not stand behind their product even though we were told it came with a one-year warranty.
These guys are extremely dishonest and will only tell the customer what that person wants to hear in order to get a sale. I will not do business with them ever again and will recommend to friends to avoid them as well. Shame on you Art Van.

Horrible customer service. I went to the one in Grand Rapids on 28th street and the manager was rude. It seems that no matter which one I go to, the sales people are rude. Either they bombard you and try to get you to buy everything or they don't help you at all. So disappointing since I've spent plenty of money with them. I wish businesses would stress great customer service like they used to.

Went to Value City with the absolute worst Customer Service Desk ever. Spent almost 6,000 and received damaged furniture on arrival 1 month late. So, told them to return the products. Went to Art Van in Grand Rapids. Billy restored my expectation of High Quality Customer Service, which resulted in my return twice after.

I had just now picked up a piece I bought in November. The follow up calls to get this piece and to inquire about my items had been very trying. I was often told, "Well we called you to schedule he delivery, but you never answered. "Never a note that I called back and all they could say was "We can't schedule your delivery because it is only part here. We don't do partial deliveries".

Additionally, the customer pick up staff could look like they wish to be helpful and load purchased items. Perhaps a "Thank you for shopping at Art Van Furniture, have a nice day" or a mere smile. Unfriendly service reflects back on the whole team there. Billy can't be the only one there who knows about Good Customer Service or is he?
    Quality: Good
    Value: Over Priced
    Service: Inconsistent

Extremely disappointed with the quality of the furniture we bought from them. We bought 2 chairs, a couch, coffee table and tv stand that totaled over $3K. The couch is an electric one where the feet come out on a button, the leg support is so weak that they bend. We do not let it lift our legs and it bends just shifting weight on it.
The chairs are the type you lean back and they recline. Both chairs have had the reclining mechanisms go out. We have had to call them 4 times for warranty, they have taken a chair for 2 weeks and did not fix the concern. They have finally put a new mechanism on one chair but refuse to fix the other since the part is just bent not broken. They told just to just beat it back with a hammer and see if that helps.
Annoyed that we spend over $3K and almost 3 hours in the store trying to get quality product and we end up with embarrassingly broken furniture.
I will tell anyone who thinks about going here to make sure to shop around and make sure you know what you are getting and understand they will tell you anything to get a sale.
