When deciding where to live in Fort Wayne, it can be quite the challenge, especially if you are new to the area, with so many places to choose from. Archer's Pointe made that decision of where to live very easy. The apartment complex is very beautiful and has a diverse community of residents living there. The prices are very competitive to other similar apartments in the area. There is a dog park, pool, monthly community events (sometimes with free dinner), and much more.
One of the best things about Archer's Pointe is the staff, mainly one staff member in particular, Derrick Witherspoon. He redefines what customer service is. Always eager to help and quick to get things done for residents, he is a great face to the company that runs the apartment complex. When you meet him, you will quickly learn that he isn't the only staff member that is like this, it carries through to everyone who works here. Maintenance staff are extremely knowledgeable and quick to complete any maintenance requests you may have (which will be very few based off of my personal experiences).
If you are looking for a quiet, stress-free community to live in, look no further than Archer's Pointe. You won't regret stopping by.
Awesome apartments and an amazing area, especially for the price. If you have pets this is the place to go. No weight limit, no monthly pet rent, fenced in back yards (1st floor), and a small dog park in the complex. The free gas is a nice bonus and the area is safe and quiet (if you don't mind the sound of the interstate). I highly recommend these apartments!
UPDATE: I have now lived in these apartments for about five months now (I had only been here about a month in my review above) and my opinion on this complex is still the same! If anything, I would be even more likely to recommend this place as we have had nothing but good experiences so far. I'm so in love with the location of this complex. It is right next to everything you might need. It's wonderful.
I have lived here for 4 months now and I was reading the reviews about Archers Pointe and the issues others have had with maintenance and other staff and since moving in I have NEVER had an issue with maintenance or any other staff. Every time I have received a notice that maintenance were coming they were always here in the time frame given and they are also very respectful and knowledgeable. They have never just walked into my apartment without me knowing. They certainly didn't knock as if they were trying to intrude. Every issue I have had here the office staff and maintenance have been great. I have no issue with the amount of times they have came here to replace furnace filters and to check the smoke detectors which is what maintenance is doing that others are complaining about. I appreciate that they maintain their property and the apartments. In my opinion the way they do things here are they way they are supposed to done. I have lived at other apartments here and this is by far the best I have experienced while living in Fort Wayne. I would definitely recommend this place.
Pros. The place and property is very well taken care of
Cons. The place is so well taken care of that it seems maintenance and whomever should be on your lease. I believe that there has to be a happy medium for coming into your apartment. I personally am not a particularly reclusive person by nature, but the way they do things here, just starts to feel like a down right home invasion. It would seem they could come up with some better scheduling methods. The final incident that prompted this review was about 10 minutes ago when I was woke up by the yelling and pounding at the door on a national holiday mind you.
They yelled maintenance however they might as well have yelled "POLICE OPEN UP!!!" because you definitely get the feeling that they are coming in rather you like it or not, in the shower on the toilet just whatever the case you can tell you don't have a choice thier keys are at the ready. After reading a couple other reviews with same complaints in which management replied "We give a 48 hour notice." This is true however when they give a 48 hour notice and do not demand to enter your apartment until five days after the notice I believe that the intent of the notice becomes obsolete. A notice in this case should act more as a convenience and less as a search warrant, which if I were to post the so called notice and it's wording you might agree.
Horrible horrible management!!!! nickel and dime you, random inspections, no privacy. Horrible parking as well. Love the apartment itself but overall i Wouldn't recommend living in archers point!
Nice apartments, but unhappy with a certain fee when I moved out.
I lived with a friend in a 1 bedroom for a few months and for a 1 bedroom it had a pretty decent amount of space. They look nice inside. Heating works well. My roommate had been already living there for about half a year before I moved in and he liked it.
There was a $150 fee when I moved out( I ended up getting my own apartment elsewhere which was why I moved out ). I kind of understand that there would be some sort of fee for moving out, but they DID NOT tell me or my roommate about this fee when I moved in. It was NOT in the contract either.
