I'll admit it.when AT&T sold me an iPhone that developed some trouble and then told me that I'd have to pay a visit to the Summit Apple Store to correct the problem, I went into shock mode. I had heard that this store (The Summit Apple Store) was usually filled to capacity with customers.lots of them. My problem was that this was a Saturday and that made the situation just that much worse. When I got there, sure enough, they had about 75 customers in the store. Within the space of about 20 seconds an Apple associate walked up to me in that large crowd and ask me what kind of trouble I was having. I told her about the problem and she immediately directed me to another standing line. When I eventually spoke to the Apple associate in that line, she took my name and email and cell # and said that there might be a wait of about an hour and a half and that they would text me when it was close to time to address my problem. I had no trouble with that.I was just glad that I found a parking space within a reasonable distance of the store. The wait was actually only about 30 minutes ! Not a bad wait at all ! Then I checked in and about 5 minutes later, an associate by the name of Zac came to the table where I was waiting. He was VERY professional and had it under control from that point on. It was determined that I had a hardware issue and the phone would be replaced. I believe the whole experience showed me just how professional the associates at The Apple Store at the Summit really are. After seeing the professionalism of the associates that I saw today, I wouldn't think twice about going back for service or add-ons. Those people are great !!!!
This is the worst customer service that I have dealt with in a long time. I went in the store to return a pair of broken headphones that are under warranty. It took over an hour just to speak with someone about them. The store was busy but not horrible. There were about 6 employees just standing around shooting the bull at the front of the store but none would help me. Then it took forever for the guy to put an order in to exchange the headphones (over an hour). He told me they would be at my door in 3 to 5 business days. Here I am a week later and no headphones! I call to try to track my headphones and after being transferred 3 times, I have been on hold 40 minutes off and on and their is still no clue when I will be getting them. Apple's customer service has become horrible and is making me want to get rid of all my apple products. Ridiculous!!
I dropped off my lap top to be repaired. They told me 5 to 7 days. I called on the 8th day and they said that they had been trying to reach me because it has to be sent out and I need to back it up 1st. I never received 1 call or any message. They then said well they called on Sunday. I told them my I phone works on Sunday, it does not take a day off. They obviously lied about calling. I know things happen but don't lie and didn't apologize or even seem to care. I run a business completely on Apple and thought they were a better company then this is demonstrating.
15 minutes and counting on hold for a quick question. No humans have been bothered by my call yet.. while I wait, I’m reading these reviews. Eye opening.
I live in Montgomery,Al and was calling simply mac here in my area and was calling the store and they were not picking up so I started to drive up there I called this mac store just to get a simple answer to my question and was on the phone with Monique and she was not only friendly but helped resolve my problem quickly. She was amazing! I didn't even have to drive up the the simply mac anymore she helped me find my AirPods.
Worst store I have ever been to. Every time I go in whether I have an appointment or not I'm told to come back. Then when I finally get to genius desk I'm told nothing's wrong. So I'm forced to contact cooperate. When I contact cooperate I send my device in and they find issues wrong with it. Take today for instance. I had a 11:40am appointment. I arrived early at 11:10. I was told to come back 15 minutes before my appointment. I arrived back at 11:25 am. I didn't get a rep until 12:16 after I asked someone at 12:08 when I was going to be seen. The guy told me that someone was showing to be already helping me. There was a guy who came in at 11:50 that was seen at 11:55. There was another guy who came in at 11:54am that was seen at 11:59 both before me. Now a lady. They both checked in after my scheduled appointment. There was 5 genius reps talking to each other in a circle before they all went to the back for 10 minutes when 3 came back out. There was approx. 30 people in the store. The reps on the floor was assisting the people not waiting for the Genius Bar. There was approx. 7 people including me waiting for the bar at 11:30. This is why I totally dislike this location.
I just received a call from my nephew as he was leaving this storewithout a computer. He is to begin classes at Auburn Pharmacy School next week and drove an hour to get the computer he would need to use for the next four years. I called the Summit store on Tuesday, August 1st to speak with them about his education discount when he made his purchase. I also ask if he could take advantage of the tax free weekend for students August 4-6. I was assured that he could and would receive both. When he arrived with his $1,800.00 dollars cash, he was told that the tax free incentive would NOT apply and that it was not tax-free weekend. I guess Google was wrong and so was the store employee who told me it was 'Tax-free Weekend'. We made a mistake. The employee made a mistake. But not only were the employees not helpful in helping him find something he could fit in his budget they were not apologetic for the misinformation he received from one of the employees at the Summit store. (Did I mention that our family has several Apple computers and phones? ) This is the last time any individual in our family will shop in your store. While I realize you don't need our money, it is sad when a company becomes so large and wealthy, you no longer care if you are helpful or polite. My nephew has worked very hard all summer, even taking double shifts at the hospital where he works as a pharmacy tech, to afford an Apple Computer. Disappointed.
In the past my experience here has been second to none. I love the way things are structured so that every person gets the individual attention they ask for and gets treated with respect.
Recently I scheduled an appointment with a specialist to look into a common issue with my 6plus. The camera was shaking rapidly rendering it useless- an issue which has been reported across most 6plus models. The specialist I saw said my iPhone did not qualify for repairs under the warranty and that I'd have to pay out of pocket. I chose to decline the offer. The specialist was nice but his hands were tied. In the apple survey email I expressed my disappointment in the situation and soon got an email from the manager of this location asking if I'd be willing to meet. I happily replied "yes" and got nothing in return. After almost a week I sent another email asking if they would like to schedule a weekend. Still nothing. Since this is extremely uncharacteristic of apple I feel it reflects poorly on the entire organization.
Normally have the best customer service of any apple store I have been to. Normally have great selection and they always help you set up your new phone or computer.
Store is overcrowded. I love Apple, but I'm not sold on their store layouts. The associates are knowledgable, but if you just want to try a product, you might be better off going to Best Buy.
The apple store is always fun to go be a looky loo, however the service has declined. I do not know if they do not have enough staff members, but I have seen them just talk to each other rather than helping customers. Each time I've needed help, I have had to hunt someone down.
Great, efficient service. They never make you feel dumb! Always had great "geniuses" helping me. Always greeted as I enter and thanked as I leave. That is rare these days. It is very busy, so make appointments if you need help!
