I love Apple products and enjoy visiting their stores mostly. Unfortunately, the Knox Street location has outgrown itself and there's no good remedy: there's no room to expand the square footage. Parking is almost non-existent and is perilous when you have to back out onto northbound McKinney Avenue traffic on the east side of the store where there are the 10 parking spaces closest to this overflowingly-busy store. I really miss the days when you could get in, get what you need, and move on.
The best alternative: shop online and have it shipped to you. If you have to take something in for repairs, make sure you book a Genius Bar appointment in advance walk-ins are a joke. You just get put in a virtual line so they can text you in a few hours to come back to maybe get help. Again, I'm a huge Apple proponent, but this store has way too much demand to supply consistent service and inventory in the class Apple way.
I never care to go to the Apple store (especially after a new phone launch) but I had to out of necessity. I walked in and I got greeted quickly and I informed them I was looking for a new phone. He said there was a bit of a wait for them (about 20 minutes). However, it didn’t take long for my turn to come up (about half the time). The employee got me up and going quickly with my new phone and I was done in less than 40 minutes. That shocked me for a Saturday. Parking can be a bit tricky here so you may have to walk a bit.
My experience at apple yesterday was outstanding! I had help from two smiling faces, Javier and Brenda. They had no problem running the diagnostics on my phone and helping replace it. Everything Ran smoothly and I had no issue being in and out in no time. I believe they deserve some recognition for the amazing customer service they provided not only for me but for every customer that came in to see them.
Stopped by with my daughter (12) with her ipad for repairs. Our first time in an apple store. We were greeted at the door and directed to someone immediately. He was so nice to my daughter. It turned out to be a simple fix and he had us on our way within a few minutes even though the store was fairly busy. Fantastic service. While we were there I observed the other staff members being very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this store.
DISCRIMINATION AGAINST A YOUNG FEMALE COLLEGE STUDENT!!!!
I sent my daughter into this store on 11/3/17, the same day the new iPhone X was being release, to get her computer fixed. They had no one available ALL DAY to work with existing customers and their computer problems. I told her to buy a new computer and we'd deal with the broken computer later. They WOULD NOT SELL HER A COMPUTER!!!! They said because she did not have an ID (she did not want the student discount) they could not sell her one. She had a credit card in her name and the charge would have been fine to be processed. This Apple store employee bullied and discriminated again my daughter. Shame on you!! Wish I had never developed a campaign back in 1985 to help Apple get its launch on college campuses!! Oh, and she went to another store later in the day and bought the new Mac!
There seems to be a big communication problem when you go in for service, from the person checking you in to the tech. The most recent issue was when I arrived for my scheduled appointment and was asked to wait at a table where people were piled on top of each other so I sat next to that chaos. I was close enough to hear when they called my name. No one came so after an hour I had to go and ask for an update and someone finally came. Purchasing has always been a smooth process.
One of my favorite Apple stores in DFW. I have waited in line for the iPhone launch here twice and had an umbrella and drinks passed out while we wait. The team was incredibly pleasant and the store is gorgeous.
I had an awesome experience at this store. I walked in with some issues with my MBP. They explained me the issue in detail and provided an accurate assessment. Dropped in my laptop for repair and got everything fixed/repaired within 3 days. Book an appointment in advance so that you don`t have to wait for long.
My experience was awesome. They were able to fix my mac right on the spot right in front of me. Store personnel seemed to really be taking great care of everyone. You'll never ever get that kind of service at a pc store.
Staff was willing to help however keep in mind it is an apple store:
If something is wrong with your phone, they are going to charge you ridiculous amounts of money for a repair.
I made an appointment with them at 6:50 and had to wait a solid 15-20 minutes for "my turn".
Different staff have different knowledge of the products.
It is packed with people at all times, not a very relaxing place to be at.
They will push for you to pay and urge you to for (like I said before) overpriced repairs.
This review is just for this store, I'm sure other store would be more helpful.
Their products are great, but their customer service was not anywhere near the level it is at any other Apple Store. We placed an order online for two iPads for our company. As someone who has Apple EVERYTHING, I was really surprised at this store's team. We used the company card (not under my name), but used my phone number and I had the confirmation receipt printed after the order, a text and an email from apple stating the item was ready. Apparently, that was still not enough for me to pick up my order. Not sure who I spoke to, but they were kind of jerks about it for really no reason. This is my first review I've written about any company because I really don't like do that, but he really has a poor attitude that rubbed me the wrong way.
Awesome staff I love to see when employees love there jobs makes a good positive work place. The knowledge of the rep was great. The only think I dislike is the parking situation.
I came in the store to get my screen replaced and I was told after waiting 30 minutes they would just replace the phone, instead of doing any hardware fix, but I have to restore my phone and try to use it , and if the issue re-occurs I can come back and pay $149 and get a new phone. I come back after an hour with the same issue, and that guy don't even look at me, who told me I can come straight to him. I waited for another 30 minutes and told I can't get a new phone for 149 but I they will replace the screen for me, I was still ok with me , but than they said they have to ship my phone out. No help. When I told this guy what the last guy told me and he has everything in notes. He just ignored me saying he don't see anything, where I saw him typing whole bunch of stuff. This is what I get to be a apple customer, having everything apple. Customer service sucks here.
So when it comes to the Apple Watch, they virtually offer zero services. Even with AppleCare+, which yes I paid for and still do have, I can't even get proper service. I just want a battery replacement. Simply that. Their attitude was just "we tested it and found nothing, we know you want a battery replacement but we aren't going to do it, because we don't feel like it." Very good apple, very good.
Loved the person that assisted me with my warranty issue, the only thing is that even though I had an appointment and they had a bunch of employees there they took a while to take care of me. I think they could be a little more organized in that sense, maybe they had more work to do than what it seemed to me, still would come back here. The location is great and the accessibility to get in is fantastic.
