This is one of the better wineries on Seneca but definitely not one of my favorites. Reason being is that with the good location and great views I am not particularly big fan of their wines.
Some of my friends are. The wines are aromatic but too much on the sweeter side with low acidity, which is great for Catawba, Vignoles, and the like but for Riesling it's not enough for me.
I do love their late harvest and ice wines though. Very few places around have it similar or better.
Good wine tasting experience. Enjoyed their semi dry Riesling.
Particularly liked the Unoaked Chardonnay and Pinot Gris.
With friendly staff and a clean, modern facility, Anthony Road was a pleasure to visit for the first time. Alex was an excellent tour guide as we tasted through a wide array of Chardonnay, Riesling, and Vignoles wines. Different bottlings were styled such that they were distinct, but clearly fit a "house style." There was not a single bad wine out of the bunch. Rieslings ranging from 2013 to 2016 were all technically excellent, developing well, and successfully showcased the Seneca Lake terroir. Two wines of particular note were the 2013 'Art Series' Riesling and the 2015 Martini-Bercraft Vignoles Berry Selection bottlings. We highly recommend Anthony Road, and will go out of our way, if necessary, to visit in the future.
Outting for Group of friends. Enjoyed the tastings and staff were pleasant.
The 2016 Pinot Gris is very crisp and refreshing!
We loved all the wines we tasted and the service was great. It was hard to choose. Will definitely go back.
The Dry Rosé is fantastic! Home of the official wine of the New York Yankees! Beautiful views, a lush garden to explore, family owned and committed to the community.
I tasted their three dry reds and two semi-sweet whites while Dani tasted five whites. We both had a glass of 2015 semi-sweet reisling with some cheese and crackers on their patio enjoying a great view.
Love Sweet Dreams wine!
Gotta visit this place. Awesome staff. The dude with the hat is cool. Great wine.
