We are big fans of Ravines dry reislings. We participated in the Ravinous Table wine dinner and it was fabulous.
Ravenous Table was awesome in Geneva. Love everything about Ravine. Have been to both the barn in Geneva and the facility on Keuka. Some of our favorite wines in the region.
Amazing wines and great property. The dry Rieslings are truly unique and stand completely apart.
Our favorite place on Keuka Lake, with the best wines. Loved the chocolate and cheese pairings. We are members from Kentucky. Our experiences there every year for tastings are the best.
Sounds like there are two different locations, if so that might explain some things. I had a great tasting, not sure which location I was at (it was in a large barn) the wines were all great. I am in the industry and I got to taste as many as I wanted. Crazy that they don't extend that courtesy to their wine club (maybe just a misinformed employee?). Staff was nice but not as knowledgeable as I was hoping for, I had a hard time getting answers to some basic questions. Also my discount was more than reasonable.
The chef is amazing. Farm to table at its finest.
The service was extremely slow, most of the wines had very little taste, both reds and whites. The road leading to the winery is not paved and is not worth traveling a second time. Overall my experience was just short of horrible.
Emailed 2 months in advance to schedule and were told no reservation needed. Showed up on time (group of 12) and were told they would not be able to accommodate us without a reservation. Place was empty, only 4 other customers there. Hope they enjoy this review.
The wines are no doubt exceptional (which is why I decided to join the Wine club). However, I had a MUCH better experience with the the serving staff at the Keuka Lake location last month. My husband and I were there on Saturday Feb 11, 2017. The woman who served us did not seem to care at all when I told her we were new wine club members. She was pretty adamant that I was not going to get more than 5 tastes. It was just weird that when we first got to the bar she asked if we would like to try the Riesling. We said sure. So then when it was time to pick our 5 choices she said more than once remember you already tried the riesling. I did not feel it was necessary to mark the Riesling on the paper but I think she was trying to make sure I didn't select an extra taste! Good grief! They were not so picky at the Keuka Lake location. My husband had to tell her THREE TIMES that he would have whatever I selected. She also nagged her co-worker (male) about not having a bottle of something ready for her. She was annoyed that she got to the end of a bottle and was blaming him for not having another bottle opened and ready. The last bit of annoyance was that my last taste was going to be the Brut but while she got busy with another couple we walked over to sample some of the delicious cheeses. Well apparently she poured my Brut and left it on the counter and when I got back she thought I already had the Brut and made me feel uncomfortable about asking her for it. Overall it was just an odd experience where we did not feel comfortable there. Next time we go we will most definitely go to a different server.
Rustic and stylish. Ranks right up there with Billsboro Winery as among the best Finger Lakes wines served in the kind of setting many travel to France or Italy to experience. A foreign experience with no need for passport. Very good food served here as well.
