Best Italian I think I have ever had. Great portions.

Normally I love this place, but last night was the worst experience. Starting from the moment we walked in, the waitress saw us didn't greet us and ran in the back. Luke was cleaning a table, saw us and greeted us. He sat us and the female took our drink order. At the time only two other tables were occupied. She came back took our food order, gave us salad and bread. Approximately 5 minutes later she came back and asked if she had taken our order. Our food came, the noodles weren't the normal noodles, and we never saw our waitress again. No drink refills, we had to ask for out check. It will be some time before we return and we LOVE this place

One of the best Italian places to eat in town. Lunch is quick, easy and delish!!! Waaay more authentic and better food than Olive Garden. Once you eat here you'll never want OG again. Good people too!!! Right on walkway in downtown Evansville! Love IT♡

My favorite place downtown for Italian food. Lunch is more affordable. Dinner is more elegant. Food and service are always good no matter when you go.

I didn't eat I was just in the area and decided to fill out the missing information. Walked in and talked to the manager. Really friendly guy. They have "The Gondola Room" basically a party room downstairs they rent out.

I love Italian food. I usually get the same thing off the menu. The quality is way better than an Olive Garden and the price is comparable to them.

I came here for lunch and enjoyed it very much. The food for lunch is premade and you go down a line selecting what you want. It makes the process very quick and easy. You can either sit down and have a nice/quiet dinner or take it to go. The food was tasty. If you are downtown for lunch, I would recommend Angelo's.

The food was pretty good, but the manager (or what looked to be the manager) was kind of a jerk. First off it's rude to judge your customers based on their looks. I would recommend not coming in looking as if you have no money, because you'll be treated like so. Also, he needs to learn how to place food on the table instead of tossing it at you. We're human beings not animals, also silverware would be nice to give your customers as well. Overall the service sucked, but if you're into being treated like the common peasant then this is the place for you. Little Angelo's in Newburgh is way better!

Convenient, and affordable. They do have a lunch buffet, but are heavy with the use of pork products. Those who don't eat pork can choose a veggie dish, but options are very limited. Would prefer to use of chicken, less everything-with-meat-also-contains-pork.

Food was ok. Nice portions and ok quality. The floors were dirty with food and the service was seriously lacking. As we waited to be seated, we had a view of the kitchen. A gentleman was chopping food with his tie touching the food the entire time. Not sure if we will visit again.

Three of us dined on October 15 early evening 6:30. We made a reservation but probably not needed.
Mallory took excellent prompt care of us
She was thorough in her explanation of menu options and service process. She checked on our progress through the entire meal, keeping our beverages filled without asking I have physical issues with making adequate salvation for swallowing food so I consume a great deal of water during a meal. Her service well met my needs in this area.
Our appetizers were hot and ample. My crab cakes could serve as a meal for a smaller appetite.
One of my all time favorite entrees in Italian cuisine is veal marsala. It was excellent in every aspect cooked to perfection. Many times in other venues it comes out tough or chewy. This was not the case at Angelo's.
The staff was great working to support each other all night.
My only caution is if you are seeking a dimly lit romantic restaurant you might not be thrilled as it was well lighted and the pricing reasonable enough that several families with younger folks were there at the same time we were. Perhaps later dining would help with this issue.
Overall tab with appetizers,a bottle of wine, entrees and tip was $120. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Evansville.response / report this review
