Me and my boyfriend have been here twice now. This place is one of a kind, you get what you pay for. The atmosphere, wine, food & staff are all amazing. I highly recommend this place.

Took my wife to dinner at Amore as a birthday celebration. Turned out to be the worst dining experience we have ever experienced in Birmingham, AL. The service was very slow, forgetful (failed to bring an appetizer, refill bread upon request and promise to do so). The Chicken Picata my wife had was unrecognizable. I seriously double it was even chicken. The fIlet was sort of crunchy with strange texture. The lasagna was at best average and about like a school lunch in taste.
For a supposed fine dining restaurant they need to start over and find new ideas.

The closest you'll get to authentic Italian food in the area. the waiters were wonderful, the food was wonderful, they even custom made me a dish I haven't had since I was Italy. Perfect experience all around.

We had no idea what we were getting into when we stepped through the door, we were just being adventurous. Despite this, the staff was very polite and seated us right away. (But come with a reservation! We got lucky!) The food was amazing, as was the music. Everything is candlelit and delightful. We will DEFINITELY be returning.

Best Italian I have ever had. My wife had a Filet you could cut with a spoon. Amazing cuisine in a romantic atmosphere. High recommend it.

Great friendly and attentive service: Ruth and Tanya at the bar, Tony our waiter, and Angela our hostess.
Excellent mixed drinks at the bar. Great wine list. Huge list of menu selections. Everything was delicious.
Ours was a one-time visit as Canadians on a motorcycle holiday. If we lived nearby it would be a family favourite for sure!

While pricey, you get what you pay for. I prefer the bar area, comfortable, friendly and casual. Great martinis and mixed drinks. Some of the freshest, best prepared and locally procured southern seasonal food on the planet. Service is impeccable. A great experience. Anything you select from the ever changing menu based on seasonality will be beyond expectation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend in birmingham at the Redmont. Charming historic hotel with an excellent restaurant (we had breakfast only), rooftop bar and comfortable rooms. Recommend getting a corner room, which is large and well appointed with desk, chaise and bed. Exercise room is small but well maintained. I would definitely return.
