Wow! This place is amazing. Just because this hotel is over 100 years old does not mean it is old feeling. On the outside it has a historic appeal and on the inside a sleek, comfortable, modern approach. The staff is very friendly and on point and will treat you with respect. It is well worth the money and the rooms have about a 10-feet-high or more ceiling that has good lighting and is incredible. The bathrooms are oversized and plush. I can’t find anything wrong to say so I might as well cut this off with a reccomendation for travelers to this hotel.

Great hotel if you're ready to splurge a little. Reception staff was the best, always very welcoming, polite, genuinely concerned with our well-being and really friendly. The room was amazing, the view was great, really clean, bed extremely comfortable although it felt like some things hadn't been installed yet (missing a light fixture on top of the desk, the weird flat fake fireplace, etc.). Checking out was a breeze, valet parking was great too. Location is central and you can easily walk pretty much everywhere, it's also close to bus and metro stations. Spacious chic designs in the room including showers, sound machine, and smart TV. Great customer service and fitness center. Wonderful cozy breakfast nook and award winning restaurant. It's worth every penny

This hotel is the most gorgeous hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms are a little in the small side but the view makes up for it as well as the showers. A very romantic place. Was here on our honeymoon and really want to come back. Breakfast is served for free for Gold Hilton Honors members. The location is right downtown as well. Loved!!!!

The first word that comes to mind when thinking about this place is "wow." Ames Boston is a very classy hotel within walking distance to all that is Boston. Upon check-in, I was greeted by the front desk staff - friendly, helpful and informative! Even though I used the Hilton online check-in, this might have been the best check-in experience I have had.
The room was gorgeous. Very high ceilings, large windows with cool views of the city even on lower floors, modern features - and the bathroom woah. The shower was nothing short of perfect and the amenities provided were top-notch.
This is a hotel that I would NEVER pass up if the price is within our company's budget.response / report this review -

Amazing experience. Started with great check-in process. Had a little problem with my bank card and front desk took that in stride and helped. Room was beautiful and great cocktails at the bar. Staff is super helpful. My go to place for Boston!

Truly feels like a boutique hotel. Small compared with a typical Hilton. The soon design is attractive but spare. I loved the floor to ceiling windows even in right bathroom.

Great location (walking distance to Trillium). Room was very modern with nice appointments. Not as small as expected but strangely arranged with lots of wasted space. Always nice to stay in a historic hotel.

Friendly and courteous staff. Stylish, but minimal modern design. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Grateful for the sound machine that was included in the room. Easy access to the T's orange line, New England Aquarium, Quincy Market, and Fanieul Hall. When we arrived, no rooms were ready yet, so we had to wait in the lounge, but were given breakfast vouchers to make up for the inconvenience. Breakfast was a very good continental, with better than average grit and berries. A pro for some people, and a con for others: the common areas of the hotel, especially the lobby, consistently smelled like cologne. It was a nice fragrance or air freshener, but would bother anyone who has sensitivity to fragrance. Very nice place for a quiet or romantic getaway.response / report this review -

Great location. Walkable and near a lot of touristy stuff and great places to eat. The rooms are big and decorated quite nicely. The furniture is chic and thoughtfully​ arranged. The staff are very professional, friendly, and eager to assist. The only drawbacks are the nightly price can be high and limited views of the skyline because it's surrounded by other offices
