  My wife and I came here because of all the reviews, and we were not disappointed! Our meal was truly amazing, from the second we walked in the door, to the moment we left!
  
  I’m writing this review several months after our visit, so I don’t remember exactly what we had, but I had steak, and my wife had shrimp and grits. Every single bite was better than the bite before it.
  
  They also had an amazing drink menu! I had “the good Rye young” and it was a perfect compliment to my steak.
  
  Next time you’re in Savannah, make time for Alligator Soul. You won’t be disappointed

  Absolutely fantastic, I went here yesterday for my fiancee's birthday and I have to tell you from the food, to the service, to atmosphere it was AMAZING! We came in at 5 so we caught them during happy hour(half of drinks) and the drinks were delicious and well crafted. I wish I could remember our waiter's name, but he was very on point! The portion size compared to other fine dining restaurants are very generous so bring an appetite(I wish I took pictures of the food but we ate it so fast haha). There is a personal touch to the restaurant that we particularly enjoyed, they gave my fiancee's a personalized treat box for his birthday that was complimentary and absolutely adorable! I just want to say thank you again to the staff, chefs, and owners for such a memorable dining and birthday experience!

  The food was good but my husband's steak underwhelmed him a little for such a nice restaurant. I had the daily special of seared tuna which was delishious. I had a salad and the croutons are little fluffy fried grit cakes which is so different than a traditional crouton. It was my husband's birthday and they gave him a tint box that said happy birthday and had small pecan pies. This was a nice touch.

  This was a complete surprise with me. They have an amazing chef that I should have thanked before leaving. The special of the night meal is where the fun is. Had the elk with the sunny side egg was amazing from the first to last bite. It is a place to go just because cause you will have a great time and the wait staff was amazing and they kept us laughing and full.

  Believe all of the excellent reviews! The food was out of this world, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, I don't think my water glass was ever empty, and I left feeling full but not uncomfortably.
  
  Sure, Alligator Soul is a bit on the expensive side. But if you budget for it and know to expect that, there is no possible way you will be disappointed. Next time I'm in Savannah GA you better believe I will be back!

  Loved this place. The atmosphere was pure Savannah. We had a destination wedding on 9/23/17 with a decent size group and it went perfectly. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more professional and the food was awesome, drinks stayed full, and everyone left happy. I reserved with Jaqcue Noel (Office Manager) and had several questions while organizing; she always got back to me promptly. With her friendly personality, I never felt like a burden. If I had the pull I would get Miss Jaqcue a promotion and a raise!!! She certainly deserves it.

  Everything here is amazing. Carving board, oysters, house salad, and kangaroo. Worth the price! The service here is top notch. The waiters really work to please everyone.

  After reading all the reviews about this restaurant, I was excited to recommend this to my friends and I who were visiting from out of town. I am sad to say that the food was less than fantastic. In fact, it was not even sub par for a top rated restaurant in Savannah- a city with many wonderful restaurant options. We waited 1.5 hours for our food only to be disappointed by the presentation and flavor. I would not recommend this restaurant to others.

  I have been here on multiple occasions and have always enjoyed my meal. The menu truly is unique and offers excellent contemporary, Southern fare and less trekked wild game such as venison, quail, and kangaroo. I highly recommend the Shrimp & Grits as well as the Venison Steak when it is available. The staff is equally delightful and professional and the bartenders are knowledgeable and engaging. The restaurant is located underground slightly tavern style but with a formal refined atmosphere. Do not expect a view but the service and food more than make up for it. Alligator Soul is a must try while you are in Savannah!

  Very high class and everything is great! That does not mean that there aren't cheaper and places to eat that hit the same quality. If you are wanting an experience and ready to pay for it then this is a good place to go. If you just want high class food then I suggest you try some other places.

  Alligator Soul is, by far, one of the finest restaurants in the Savannah Historic District. From the time we were seated to the time that we left, we felt appreciated by the staff. The food was fantastic and the ambiance was perfect. This is likely to become "our special occasions" restaurant in Savannah.

  Wow, prepare to be blown away. Everything from the service and the attention to detail to the delectable food is top notch. Went there for a special occasion and the staff went above and beyond to make it memorable. I won't spoil it in case you find yourself there for something similar!

  We had a great experience sitting at the bar. The chef sent out tiny taste plates with crispy sausage and red beans. We followed that with tasty band oysters, with a spicy sweet side sauce that was incredible. Shrimp and grits topped off my meal. They have fresh caught daily specials and wild game... Really cool place as long as you don't walk past it, it is underground.

  Our last night in Savannah, my boyfriend and I decided to treat ourselves a bit. We had seen many great reviews for this restaurant and we thought this would be the one. We ordered two appetizers (something we do quite often) to split because we wanted to taste a variety of things. If you don't mind sample size portions, the food was tasty but for the price somewhat laughable.
  
  The staff was pleasant. We felt welcome. I just would have liked to see a bit bigger portions for what we paid.
