Good food and enormous portions. However the dining room was filled with families with young children. Eat in the Tap Room.

The name does not inspire images of a classy establishment, but trust me, it is. The huge open space and tall ceilings make it feel grand and everyone is having a good time and enjoying the fresh beer. We had a blast. The place is so large that I will have to go back a few more times to sit in other areas of the place including the loft area.

Had my 40th birthday party. Best tour I've ever been on. Very knowledgeable staff, and brewer. Food was excellent, beer was outstanding. Can't wait to go back.

I love this place so much. Albany has a great, ever-expanding scene of craft breweries and gastro pub restaurants but this was one of the originals. Their in-house brewed beer is award winning and exceptional. They offer flights of beer if you want to try a little of everything and also sell refillable growlers.
The building is historic and absolutely gorgeous- brick walls and high ceilings, vats of brewing beer behind glass rooms, warm lighting and a view of the kitchen. Their food is amazing every single time, especially their burgers.
This place is very popular and located near the Palace Theatre and the downtown area so IT FILLS UP FAST. There's always a wait for dinnertime, and if there's a show at the Palace forget about it. Early dinners or weekend lunches are usually the least crowded times. It also closes at 11, but luckily there's plenty of other bars within walking distance that are open well into the wee hours.

Traveling through town on our way back to Michigan and discovered this gem! We came from our hotel at 6pm on a Saturday evening and the staff was very accomadating, making special efforts to get us a table with very minimal wait.
Great atmosphere in a historic venue. Food was very good - including a nice kids menu. The beer offerings were top shelf, with the Short, Tart & Handsome: Our Eyes Are Up Here being one of the best Sour Farmhouse Ales I've ever had!!

Pretty good burger, but the fries were only barely passable. The decor alternates between vintage industrial and 1980's in the dining room which sort of ruins the ambiance. Since they make everything from scratch, it takes a while for you food to get out. Not a complaint, but this is not a place for a quick bite. Will get quite crowded and noisy at peak times.

Drink lots of beer before you order food, and if you like pierogie do yourself a favor, DONT ORDER PIEROGIE.
A complete letdown, toughest prime rib I have ever had, would not recommend this place to anyone I liked.
To be fair, the facility was nice, clean and interesting.

Really "cool" place to hang out and enjoy your meal. The atmosphere is open and industrial feeling. The huge fire place area on one side is a perfect hang out spot nice and quiet. While the other side has a bar and is a little louder. Unique food combinations, their burgers are very tasty. Service was friendly and professional.

The Pump Station has a really tasty variety of food, but I would say their American fare (burgers and sandwiches) are where they excel rather than in their pasta or other ethnic fare. Their fries are super delicious. A good selection of their own beers and others as well. More limited cocktail menu. They often have good specials, especially during the week. This place gets busy on weekend, especially when there are events downtown, so I recommend a reservation, especially for larger parties.
