He may be a good orthopedic surgeon, but he is not experienced in neurospinal surgery. I had 2 neck vertebrae and disks replaced before I went to him that he was supposed to fix. He made me much worse than when I went to him. Get spinal cement over the screw plate surgery!

Check in service horrible! Really seems they don't have concerns about patient care. Only concern is insurance. It's sad have insurance controls patient care.

The staff was very nice and I loved the nurse that help my motherShe was sooo sweet!! But I am very upset with Dr. GoodmanOne day sir, you will be old and in painI hope and pray you will be treated better than the way you treated my 82 year old motherYou could see how bad her back was by her X-rayMy God her back is curve, full of arthritis and has an old break in the lumber areaAlong with other problems.My problem is you stood in the doorway like a chicken to tell an 82 year old woman who is in sooo much painThat you don't write because it doesn't help in the long runSmh..Get some balls stand in the room and say It to an 82 year old woman! If you gave me or my mother a chance to speak you would have known all she needed was enough to get by until you do the block on her backShame on you Dr. Goodman!! She 82 years old who still teaches GED, bible drill and Sunday School.. Also, teacher of the year 3 times in a rollSo she not a junkie looking to get high, she in painI pray for you because you are not getting any younger.So your body will give out on you one day, just like it has with my mother.You will find yourself just wishing and praying to God the pain would STOP!!! Remember when that day comes for you and it will But you don't believe in pain medication.

Ok. I've been dealing with a back issue for a few years. I have had wonderful experiences and some not so wonderful. First, let me praise my chiropractor Back on Track chiropractor Kristopher Johnson who has been my savior both with pain and inspiring without hesitating. However my experiences with others have been less than tolerable. Alabama Orthopedic spine & sports medicine pc I'm just beyond sick of. No bedside manner ever. I've cried out of frustration because they make you feel like they care only about money and not about the patient. Today no different. I pulled my back in my sleep a week ago. Trying to ice, be cautious, went to take my meds that I had filled to ease the muscle spasms and realize they are expired. I didn't fill them in oct of 2016 during my last procedure because I still had some left from my first in 2015 which by the way i had 3 refills for and Didnt refill because I avoid taking meds. Went to refill last week and its been over a year. Next Called to see if they would call or write a new prescription. Told its been 9 months since the sugeon seen you which has been almost a year need to see him. Ok next Call the appt desk. Oh you have an outstanding collection we can't help you until you clear the collection (i have the recorded voicemail). Never got a Bill never a call. (flash back to last year when i went in and had the same thing when i went in and paid the $100 Bill immediately, i recall expressing my annoyance and asking the same questions of when did you send a Bill did you call to which they couldn't find, again. Expressing my frustration to the incompetentcy). Called the billing office today found out had 160 insurance didn't pay after my procedure and paid promptly. Expressed my frustration. I was told office policy. Its not really in collection just their policy in office to not call in refills or appts until all bills paid. Asked for the office manager to again point out the lack of effort to inform patients. Told sent me a Bill in January. Wow.ok. maybe I missed it. Maybe i got it and filed waiting to see what all the insurance paid. But still you have a patient who's been suffering for a week. Who pays everytime. Who isnt abusing Medications and never refilled the first prescription but you would rather them suffer than take any initiative to help your patient! Then rude from the manager when I advise this was my perception of the treatment and told I was wrong in my perception. She's been there 30 yrs and they care about there patients and its just me. Really! Sorry for the rant. I'm just beyond tired of dealing with these inconsiderate people at alabama orthopedic spine and sports medicine associates pc. I need to find a new doctor!

I love this doctor's office. I recently tore the miniscus in my knee. I was referred to Dr. Rogers by my other half as this was my first time to have this type of injury I was apprehensive. The support staff up front were courteous, worked quickly and were very nice. The wait was the shortest of any office I have ever had to go to. They were not super busy when I went so that may have helped. Dr. Rogers was extremely competent, thorough, answered all my questions, and was extremely personable. Everything was done in house which was nice, xrays mri braces etc. I will always come back and urge anyone who need help to use them also.

Great doctors but poor doc assistant. Had an interaction with a medicine for pain relief and was told my only other option was a pain block. There should have been another option other than things sticking in or near my spine. Definitely my last visit here.

Everytime I come visit Dr. Carnel there's an extremely long wait time. This last time a had to wait 2 1/2 hours to be seen. Dr. Carnel is not very friendly or personable. He didn't seem to listen to his patients and consider their concerns and needs. Whatever he decides is what happens. Pain management here in Alabama is more like a dictatorship.

My appointment was at 7 am with Dr. Goodman. I was called by two prom the day before to get all my information since my appointment was so early. I arrived about 5 mins before 7 only to have to wait forever for them to call me back. Well after waiting for 49 minutes, the receptionist came and got me and took me back and put me in a room. After that the nurse came in and didn't even offer an apology for me having to wait almost an hour to be seen. Once she finished her procedure, the doctor came in to do his part. He introduced himself and proceeded to perform another proceedure on me. The whole time he is talking to me about where I work etc.. After he finished, he stood up and was continuing to talk about my job. His phone rung, he answered it and turn and walked out the room. The nurse then said to me "ok". I was like okay what? That's it? She said yes. So at that point, I inquired about my results of the rest they did were and then she answered me and told me everything looks fine. I feel like that was the worse doctor visit I have ever had. The doctor was rude and I had to ask for the results of the test instead of him explaining them to me when he was done. He didn't even explain the procedure to me before he started to tell me the purpose of doing the procedure and what the expected outcome should be bi will never visit this place again and I will be calling my insurance company to advise of this treatment!!!! Not professional at all!!!!

What a great bunch of people. I have been to 2 Pain Clinic in Birmingham which left me feeling like I was problem to them rather than a patient.
Not here, I was the last be out of the door tonight with 2 doctors and 1 assistant and they never at all made me feel like they were pushing be out.
We I left I realized everyone had gone but me and one other lady . If was 6:30pm I think they close at 5pm.
Not only that but for the reason I went in the took complete concern and from the start began to see what they would do to help me. Wonder people Thank you.response / report this review -

The dr.'s are good but the billing department is full of a bunch of idiots. They can not pull up an account with the account number to save their lives & can not get a credit card number correct. I will be glad when my account is paid in full
