Great people! Great crowd! When I go to play guitar and sing at their monthly Open Mic Night.
This is probably Birmingham's best live music venue. It has the best acoustics then any other it's size. Just about any table and seat has a decent view of the stage.
Caught lettuce in concert. Rare sightings of these dudes and definitely didn't expect them to show up in Bham. Wow! Venue changed from Avondale brewery to Work play day before concert but it was all good. Workplay acoustics we're awesome! Crowd fantastic! Need more waittresses
This was the first time Workplay hosted The Witches ball. I hope they do it again next year. It was awesome!
Fun place but the bar is limited and the bartenders so untrained they don't know how to make classic cocktails.
The music from the live band was entirely too loud, and one couldn't communicate with the waitress even screaming at the top of one's lungs.
They have really good event's going there All The time especially on the holidays
Excellent place to have a drink, catch up with friends, catch a show, or just relax!
Staff are friendly and attentive, great happy hour specials, awesome live music in the WorkPlay Bar most evenings, and great shows inside the WP Theatre. Owners are terrific and make an effort to speak to all patrons.
Concert experience was great, parking not so great,I ENJOYED a Lela James concert, the venue was great. The crowd was high energy, everything went well even down to security
Great shows. Good staff but not enough bartenders to accommodate large crowds. Pay for the show, and spend a lot of time waiting at the bar in another room waiting for a drink
I like this venue much more than most of the other ones in town. There is decent areas for parking, relatively safe area, and the atmosphere is very comfy and welcoming. Staff were always nice
Nice place to listen to live music. Wonderful acustic. They have a free jazz jam session every Tuesday evening.
Place works to fit the act. Been to easy acoustic shows with seating and table drink service. Same showroom has been a raucous high energy rock show. Drinks are good. Granted you get what you pay for and they have a captive audience. I'm not the most concert friendly person. Been taken by friends and can honestly say it was the quality of shows and venue that made the experience wonderful.
Great sound, most attentive wait stuff I have ever encountered in an event location, good prices, and a great bar area with discounted drinks during happy hour plus free bands.
Why not 5 stars? The high ceiling and balconies make the place easily feel empty. I have been to many great shows but if the auditorium seems empty it takes away from the experience. The best shows were probably not even the best shows but simply sold-out shows.
