Great selection, and good food. The only downside is how busy it can get

Very cool venue with the best liquor selection I have ever seen. The bartenders know their stuff and the seating is very comfortable.

Great atmosphere and their recommendation of a pecan martini was delicious. Also recommend the cheese and meat platter. They had multiple options to satisfy the palate.

I expected more from this awesome location. Great interior. Great music. Ok prices. Great people. Worst old fashioned ever .. I get around a lot. At least 50 different old fashioneds a year. This was the worst. But the choices of whiskeys for tasting cant be beat and ill return over and over again. Just pissed about the abomination of a cocktail i got served. Live and learn.

Other reviewer is correct to say their quesadillas are surprisingly good. Also, staff is friendly and helpful. Good selection of food and beverages.

Great selection of spirits!! If you're looking for a more creative drink the bartenders are happy to pour you something based on your tastes.

If you've never tried their food you're missing out. They have the best quesadillas around.

What makes Al's so unique is the atmosphere, they have giant comfy couches all around including the room in the far back and they have board games available for you and your friends. I actually learned to play chess there.

Great place with an amazing atmosphere and drinks. Unfortunately, after being a frequent patron I am no longer planning to visit Al's. I love the place, but I don't appreciate the way certain managers handle business here.

A fun little dive bar masquerading as a "cigar" bar. The atmosphere is casual on weeknights but turns into a loud college bar Friday and Saturday night.

Ideally, get there early so you can take advantage of the seating at the front which overlooks Clinton Street seats groups of 8-10 around one of the tables easily. The bar games are fun. Decent prices.

Al's is one of my favorite locations in Armory square. The lounge atmosphere really sets it apart visually from other spots (red lights and big leather couches). It is narrow throughout the bar area, but opens up in a few spots to relieve the pressure. They have a pool table, dartboard, pinball machines, board games You likely won't be bored for lack of options.

The selection of wines and spirits is another thing that sets this establishment apart. It's just something you have to see for yourself. They have clean draft lines and ample selection of beer as well. The bartenders are professionals - they take their work very seriously and provide a quality product. Be patient on busy nights. The bar is long and they have about 20 things happening at once. You won't have to wait too long and the result is well worth it.

They have live music a few nights a week that goes pretty late. Good stuff from what I've heard so far.

They also serve food right up until the end of the night, and it's tasty, too.

Get up and get down to Al's!

This place is a bit pricey and it seems to take longer than needed to get service at the bar. However the atmosphere inside is very nice, a cool spot to chill.

Great, chill atmosphere. Live Jazz on Sunday nights, and an infinite selection of drinks and VERY knowledgeable bar tenders.

Fantastic, not rowdy place for whiskey!!! Not expensive either. Great ambiance! Did I say lots of whiskey!
