The food is fantastic. Guided by a commitment to local sustainability, the community and outstanding, but not flashy, culinary skills, Lento is my recommendation for dining in Rochester. Go here. Eat everything. Go back frequently, as the menu changes with the season. I'll be back for another special occasion soon and I am looking forward to it.

On a personal note, I owe the staff of Lento an immeasurable debt of gratitude. The staff at Lento went above and beyond for me in ways too myriad to explain here. Suffice it to say, Lento, it's staff and it's food is what you have been looking for.

Wow! We are never disappointed by the wonderful experience at Lento. Our anniversary dinner was delicious, and we felt no pressure to leave when it started slowing down, in fact, they graciously encouraged us to take as much time as we wished. It is clear that manager Mitch is a great leader. Huge thank you to our server, Zach!

I came here on a Tuesday for their $1 Oyster Tuesday Specials and was pretty impressed with my experience. The wait time was not long at all and was able to sit at the Oyster bar while we waited for our table to be ready (which was a pretty cool bar with some tasty drinks)!

The restaurant is farm to table with everything they serve being local and they change their menu weekly - including their drink and oyster menu too. My friend and I were not overall impressed with the normal menu and thought the prices were pretty steep.

A great place to come on a Tuesday if you like Oysters! I would suggest coming here early on a Tuesday and sitting at their Oyster bar for the dollar Oysters and delicious drinks :) They had 5 different oyster options when we went and all were pretty good except one.

Absolutely loved the food, menu apparently changes regularly but every bite was tasty. It's good to know it's all local ingredients too.

A bit pricy, with perfect portions (don't expect leftovers). Enjoy every bite and you'll get your money's worth

The Ambiance is trendy, upscale, brightly lit and wide open.

I had read some sub-par reviews regarding price and portion size but after dining here I must disagree. While not on the cheaper side of Rochester dining, neither of those grievances held up. I would never consider myself a raw bar connoisseur but he oysters and shrimp we're delicious. I have to specifically mention the gnocchi and calamari, which were amazing. I've never had fried lemon slices and they added a whole new dimension to the calamari. A few minor complaints did not detract from our 5/5 experience.

Great food, fun ambience, great raw bar! I've eaten several times at Lento and its one of my favorite places. The food is great! Last night we started at the raw bar and my husband and daughter had oysters and I had shrimp - delicious, big, tender with a spicy cocktail sauce. I started with a Cosmo so good, fresh juice and delicious.
We were seated at our table and shared a appetizer of duck fat frites.. yes we're fighting over the last one.. delicious with a side of garlic aioli. I ordered a Delmonico steak, my husband had the Bison burger and my daughter ordered the salmon. The steak was served with a seasoned butter on it, perfectly medium, so good. The sides were crispy red potatoes and sauteed swiss chard which complimented the steak perfectly. My husband's burger was smaller than what you might think, it came with frites but he switched then it for a rice since we had then earlier. The burger was juicy, with a bun that was perfect and came with pickles and cheese. My daughter's salmon dish was delicious. A large piece of salmon perfectly cooked. There was no food left on our plates. We ended the night sharing a creme brulle and a warm apple crostata with ice cream. The crostata was outstanding. It was a wonderful meal.

The atmosphere and food are wonderful. Best if you like farm to table. The wait can be long if you don't have a reservation, but you can always get food at the bar or at the high top tables.

I never write reviews for anything, but this restaurant deserves it.

Their pre-fix lunch menu is one of the best I've had in my life - anywhere. This is an amazing bang-for-your-buck restaurant that is a class experience; I've recommended it to a lot of friends and everyone that has visited has loved it.

Rooney' is my first choice for celebrating my birthday or any special occasion. The food is outstanding. The service and atmosphere are perfect! If you have never been, do yourself a favor and go. You won't regret it.

Slow service. So Slooooooooooow. Not that you want to be rushed at a fancy dinner but it shouldn't take you two and a half hours for a meal. Food was lukewarm. Some of oysters were delicious, others were too salty, but the strange bitter sauce that comes with them is not good. Why not just send cocktail sauce? There is a point where being fancy just for the sake of it starts to ruin the dining experience.
