I had great pleasure training at Aiki Muay Thai Kickboxing. Great place for people who are just starting their journey with martial arts, and great place for people, like me, who has experience. Good atmosphere, knowledgeable coach. Totally recommend that place!
If you want to learn the true Muay Thai fighter spirit, this is the one place to go in Dallas. I’ve trained with Khru John for almost 4 years and I miss it everyday. This is a place of discipline, respect, friendship and hard work.
Aiki is very welcoming. Coach Sosa loves to work hard. He makes sure we understand the important aspects of each lesson. My knowledge of MT has grown a lot in my 2 months here.
I have been going to Aiki Muy Thai Boxing Gym for 2 years and I love this place. There is a great atmosphere, Khru John and the others members of the gym are very welcoming. Since I joined the gym I've learned a lot and I am still learning thanks to Khru John who is sharing with us his passion and teaching us the discipline and values of martial art.
I have been a member of this gym for about 4 years, I cant say enough great things about the gym, the instruction and atmosphere are top notch, besides the fact that I cant say enough(at 51yrs old)about how much my conditioning has improved both mentally and physically. Coach John is by far the best coach I have met on my journey thru life.
Let me begin this review by saying that this gym is second to none!. I have been coming to this gym for about 3 years now and I can say that the instruction, the training and the atmosphere is simply fantastic. The head instructor, Khru John Sosa, is very passionate about what he does and makes sure to make his new students feel welcome and at home. Not only that, but he assures that each student learns more and more of the art of Muay Thai. The camp has a very family-oriented atmosphere and we are all a family away from family. If you want to learn self-defense, get a great workout or pursue greater knowledge in the arts of Muay Thai and Western boxing, then this is the place to train at!
I have learned more in 11 or 12 sessions at this gym than I learned in about 2 years of instruction from my last muay thai teacher. The other guy was Thai and I think certainly knew what he was doing technically, but Kru John and Kru Mike have a real talent for explaining the techniques in a way that is allowing me to improve quickly. Secondly, the way the classes are structured is a good combination of being intense enough to get a very good workout, while improving measurably on skills, and somehow making it fun enough that 90 minutes passes in what seems like about 10. thirdly, there is a very cool. laid back family friendly atmosphere at this place. very impressed.
I have had the privilege to work with John over the last 10 months, and I could not be happier with the time I have spent at this gym. Each time I step into the Aiki Muay Thai Boxing Gym, I feel welcomed and excited to learn. If you are looking for a place to learn, work hard, and enjoy yourself while doing it, this is the place to be. This gym provides a great atmosphere to not only improve yourself from a self defense and fighting perspective, but also to meet great people and have a great time. A truly awesome coach and gym!
Aiki Muay Thai boxing gym is one of the greatest place to train Muay from experience.. It's family oriented and has the best teachers you could ever have and ask for.. You definitely get your moneys worth training there.
This place I found by luck. I did not know what I was looking for in a muay thai school or if I even wanted to train it. But I found out real fast that the instructor Kru John is the best I have seen. It let me know that thats where I would actually learn new things and not recycled cookie cutter classes. My respect to Kru John the man knows what he is doing. Many other instructors will dazzle you with how they have this medal or said championship. Thats all and good for them. Yet they do not know how to teach, which is the most important part when you are the instructor and a student wanting to learn. So if you want to learn, really learn come here . Or if you are satisfied with going over the motions where you might be training now then have at it.
This gym is fantastic! The classes are small to medium size (weekends are busier), and are VERY technical. Since the classes aren't overly big, there is a great focus on one on one training. That is, the trainer walks around and actually makes sure you get the technique right. This is a great way to improve quickly. There are boxing and muay thai classes, but it is mainly focused on the latter.
I went for about a year until I unfortunately had to move out of town, but I would recommend this gym to anyone who is interested in learning a martial art or becoming a fighter. Getting in a kickboxing gym like this can be intimidating, but everyone at this gym is friendly and respectful, and the Khru keeps it that way. You'll learn the art of Muay Thai, get some conditioning done and meet some great people!
I have been training here for the last four months and I can honestly say I was surprised with how much I learned my body feels so much better but also my technique as in footwork ,angles rhythm. the gym is very welcoming everyone there is willing to help . you get to work with a partner every time as this is great because you learn faster and they push you to do your best. The teachings is great slow if your interested this is definitely worth the shot
The Aiki Muay Thai camp is an excellent gym to learn Thai kickboxing as well as western boxing. The gym has a very friendly environment that welcomes people from all sorts of different backgrounds to come and train. Whether they are to learn self defense, get in shape, or to one day step in to the ring to fight, the instructors at Aiki Muay Thai will help you accomplish your goals.
This is a fantastic gym. The Muay Thai is authentic and the teaching is one-on-one. Everyone from fighters to people looking to get a good workout and learn some self defense are welcomed all ages, men and women, shapes and sizes too. And if you're looking to learn to fight or improve your skills in the ring, you can't beat the coaching and training!
