Really appreciated the gentleman who helped explain how to clean and repack my headset on my old Giant. Worked like a charm! Thanks
When I first moved here 4 years ago I shipped them my bike from WI. They cleaned it up, tuned it up, and made it all right! Since then I have been back and as always the service is excellent! Highly recommend!
This is my local bike shop and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve purchased 3 bikes from this shop and have had all of our bikes serviced there. The staff are incredibly competent, thoughtful and attentive to the needs of their customers. Frank and his team really have it figured out. On numerous occasions they’ve surpassed my expectations which is what prompted me to leave this review
Couldn't speak highly enough! They are very honest, and upfront. The guy just saved me a couple hundred $ on my Time Road bike parts. Thank you so much!
I brought my bike in for a service and it received exactly what it needed to come out in great working order despite me being obviously open to additional things do to my naïvety. It was a pleasure to see such a great example of honesty. The service was very timely, a more than fair price and great customer service. Frank is a very knowledgeable straight shooter. These guys exceeded my expectations and they are my bike guys now.
Went 12/13/17 around 1030am and had a simple problem with my wifes bike. One employee came and helped quickly and in a friendly manner. Was out within the first 10 minutes i was there.I will for sure come back. 5/5 stars easily.
This place is awesome! I drive there from College Station to get my bike and my bike fit done. Frank is very very knowledgeable and he's very patient! Just few days before my Ironman, I called in and he helped to fix my bike working extra hours! Great place and great people!
These guys know their stuff and have never taken advantage of me once. Great prices and always try to help any way they can.
Took my mountain bike in for a new wheel and tune up and the linkage caused my shifting to be awful. Got it corrected at the Bicycle Shop on Lamar very cheap.
ATX Bikes is hands down the best bike shop I've been to. I started using them a few years back as they were close and bought my sons first bike. They advised me to use the Strider bike method and so he got one. At age 3 his training wheels were off his "big boy" bike and he has been killing it ever since, he's now 5 and on his 3rd bike. This shop really shined recently when it was time for me to get a new bike. I had ordered a bike online and was directed to pick it up at this shop. I immediately cancelled the order and went there in person instead. Not only did they advise me on a different bike, but the bike they recommended was less than I was set to originally spend. Frank, Mark and all the guys at ATX bikes sincerely care about their customers and put the customer's needs ahead of profit. I never write reviews and given the quality of service I'm sure this review is not needed. Anyone needing a bike would be well served to call and ask for Frank or Mark or Reese or any of the guys. Simply put, they will take care of you.
Yep, 5. I've truly never known a bike shop that has such a genuine support for the local cycling community. They continually go beyond the call: staying late nights to support rides, working extra hours to make your bike well again, sponsoring local high school and middle school mountain bike teams and being friendly not to get the sell but just because they are.
The staff at ATX Bikes are outstanding! During a trip in rural Texas I had some problems with my bike. I was only able to pass through Austin for a few hours and the folks at ATX Bikes worked me in.
I have lived near and ridden bikes around Circle C for fifteen years but never stepped foot in ATX bikes until last Friday when a derailleur cable broke. The new owner as of Sept16, Frank Prior, greeted me as I walked in the door and asked if he could help. Told him my problem and he grabbed a couple cables. $10 and said they were pretty backed up but could probably get to it the next day if I needed any help with the installation. I was glad to hear they were that busy because it’s great to have a shop right here in the neighborhood that is equal parts road, mountain and casual bikes. I also mentioned my bike was turning ten years old this month and that I might be interested in a new bike soon. Frank asked if he could show me something…and we walked back into the fitting area. High tech software and a GURU fitting machine all designed to breakdown bike fit based on your goals and riding style.
Frank invited me back the next week before regular operating hours and offered to evaluate my riding position on current bike. Over a few hours from 8-10a, Frank broke down issues in my current bike and how I am positioned on it. I have long legs and we discovered my foot and knee angle were not optimal, in addition to hip bend and many others. We then took a look at newer road bike options based on my style of riding and goals. Frank went through changes in frames / components and many others since my last bike purchase. We found a few options and he plugged in the geometry into the Guru system…minutes later I was riding a setup identical to the bike he recommended so we could evaluate the riding posture. My new Giant Defy Advanced Pro 1 will be here next week.
Frank and ATX Bikes didn’t sell or persuade me into a new bike…they earned my business and support. It’s great to have a genuine, kind-hearted small business owner right here in Circle C. Highly recommend for any cycling needs.
