I wish my salary had increased as much as a price of a ticket and popcorn. The chairs are nice in that they recline. I guess it is nice that the seats are reserved. The sound was adequate. The picture was clear and in focus. The restroom was clean, but paper towels were not in stock forcing the use of the hand blow driers.
I just had one of the best experiences ever at AMC 20. I bought a ticket to The Last Jedi, then a glitch logged me out of my ticket purchase. So I went to get the ticket again and accidentally clicked the wrong date for the movie, a day I wouldn’t have even been able to go. I didn’t figure this out till I got to the theater, then felt like a complete idiot and was scared that I just spent $30 on a movie I wasn’t even able to see. But the employees who worked there quickly made it right for me. They exchanged my ticket and were extremely friendly and understanding. I fully expected them to tell me there was nothing they could do then laugh about what a complete idiot I was when I left. Not the case at all. Can’t thank you enough AMC! You made my night and I will be sure whenever a new movie is released that I’m watching it in your theater!
Overall, the renovations here have made a world of difference, but I am not a huge fan of the seat choosing business.
The reclining armchairs and stadium seating in every theatre makes your experience unbelievably more comfortable than anywhere else I have been. There is even a full bar for anyone interested, though quite costly (as is usual at a theatre). Yet, by allowing you to choose your seat when you purchase the tickets, 1st priority will always go to those who purchase tickets online. You will end up, as I did last night, plonked in the front row and craning your neck to see, even though I purchased the tickets hours ahead of time at the theatre. Take that into account and you will be happier for your trip here.
The actual quality of the video audio experience is very good and the staff in generally nice and helpful. That is where the four stars come from. The food is over priced, but that is expected in most theaters. The only other down side I have, is that it can get quite warm in the theaters during movies. I usually like it colder, but most people I go with end up remarking on how it can get a little toasty when watching your movie. Overall this is my preferred theater in Tallahassee though Cobb Theater currently under construction has peaked my interest.
This has turned out to be a nice place to go to. Used to be just thugs and drugs. But cleaner now.
#1 The seats here are giant reclinersbigcomfortableyou could live in them if you had too. I've decided it's worth the few extra dollars for the comfort.
#2 People are bothered by the price of concessions, beer and wine, etc. But the way I see itat least they offer them. I"m glad for that.
#3 They have this awkward "you have to reserve a seat to buy a ticket" thing. Fortunately, most of the movies I go to there aren't a lot of people so I sit where I want. Note: The different theaters are different sizessome are small so you're jammed up against the screen no matter where you sit. So if you're forced to chooseit helps to know the theater size .
#4 Their new Dolby Screen sound is powerful. I went to see Blade Runner in this screen..the and the soundtrack was obviously designed for this set up. The "whooshes" were really whooshythe sonic bursts thrilling and body shaking. Perfect for a movie like this.
The seats are comfy but the prices for food are out of this world!
Comfortable seats. Staff not thrilled about their job. Came to a 445 showing, and at 515, the screen is still black. Pretty discouraging.
Prices are high but its a great experience! The seats are comfortable. The concession is high, but show me one that isn't! Bathrooms are clean. I recommend!
Prices are pretty high, but the staff is really nice and has gone out of their way to help me on more than a few occasions. The food is good, although I haven't tried their newest menu. Theaters are nice, seating is great, but the floors are getting a bit tough after recent renovation. Assigned seating is great! The only caveat is that they could use more Fathom events.
It is typically pretty goodreally like the seats. But the drink and food prices are just way to much.I mean really $16 for a couple of medium drinks and a popcorn!
Recently remodeled and upgraded seating and technology. Best new release theater within 2 hour drive. Very good seating. Big selections of movies (20 theaters), food, drink (including a pub style bar). Very high prices. If you go regularly it pays to be a premium "Stubs" member. Clean and good staff. Can get very crowded weekends and new releases. City police provide good interior security on Friday and Saturday nights. Mall has a lot of construction that will continue for a while so arrive early.
Very nicely upgraded with comfy recliners. They'll make your neck sweat for long flicks, but overall pretty relaxing.
Kacy and Kenya were so very helpful when we had a flat tire and were unable to make the movie at our original time. She helped us secure the 11 tickets needed to ensure that our whole party could sit together. It is people like Kacy and Kenya that make AMC Theater our top choice in Tallahassee for movie entertainment. Thank you 😊.
