I would love to give this showplace 0 stars, if I could I definitely would I called them before the last showing at 10 pm and they told me that the movie had about 20 minutes of previews since it was new I legit walked up to the doors at 10:15 and they were too busy writing avengers on the windows to let me in or unlock the doors even though my tickets were already bought && paid for!! The least they could do is answer the phone orrrr the door to say they were closed. Definitely getting my refund and never coming back. Waste of money, time, and gas.

A comfortable theater, the staff is attentive and I like the premier Stubs member line for tickets and concessions. I look forward to reclining seating here. Then they will get 5 stars.

Nothing over the top great, but definitely a good and a clean place to watch a movie. We watched black panther and had no issues whatsoever. Clean and comfortable

It's pretty nice with comfortable seats. Getting a bit dated tho. They updated menu last year, no more free refills on popcorn unless you're a stubs member and only on the large. I did not see any combos like they used to have, so expect to pay through the nose for concessions. Also only the main concession stand is the only one I've ever seen open in years.

I bought tickets online just a few minutes before heading over. I am staying at the Red Roof Inn and it was only a 5 minute drive - super convenient. Theatre is clean and modern. Ticket person showed me how to use the kiosk to retrieve my e-ticket since his scanner was down so he couldn't scan the QR code in the email. Thanks AMC.

This is an old time up scale theatre. They haven't upgraded but the theatre is still nice. No reclining seats but comfortable seats all the same. The sound system is good and the quality for the price is good. They get all first run movies and a great selection!

Popcorn is what I expect from a theater, staff is pleasant and friendly. I'm a bigger guy however and the seating is to narrow and no where near as comfortable as the out door theater that used to be at Cherryvale mall

The movie (we drive 17 miles to see) had been taken out and replaced with one in higher demand. The manager was pleasant and understanding. She tired to make it right, and I was satisfied with the outcome. I could tell she appreciated my business, and I'll come back, again, just for that reason alone.

What you'd expect from a movie theatre in Rockford! The "seating chart" is great for people who plan ahead and want to make sure their party sits together. Overpriced food and popcorn, but what else would you expect from a movie theatre these days? Seating is adequately comfortable as well.

You know going to the movies was fun, and sometimes they had good food but now they have seating charts. Personally it is not a good idea because if someone has the wrong seat they have to move which causes I huge distraction well I know me and my Significant other was distracted so I missed parts of the movie. Like who cares where we sit as long has you have your ticket. So I give this 2 stars, a thumbs down and I will no longer go to the movies.

The place is clean and you get your tickets quickly, especially if you are a stubs member and order before you get there.tge concession stand now has food and not just popcorn and candy. They a little more expensive than some of the other theaters.

AMC Showplace 16 in Rockford does not have enough circulation in the lobby. The lobby was quite smokey and stuffy from popcorn popping and carried into the theater. I do have asthma and some breathing problems. I asked a manager if they could turn the air on in the theater or fans. They did and I was able to stay and watch the movie which I appreciated. This has happened at Showplace 14 theater also. Maybe there isn't enough ventilation when popping corn and cooking food as they do now. Seemed like the humidity was high in the theater.
Classic Cinema at Lindo theater in Freeport, Illinois does not have this problem. I love going to the movies and don't want to worry if I can stay when I get there.

It's AMC. Nothing too great, nothing horrible. Could be cleaner, especially around the area where the drink stations are. You'll enjoy good sound and pictures in the theater too. Wish they'd train their staff to be quicker AND have more staff working.

I love going to showplace 16, like whenever there is a huge movie coming out in IMAX 3D I always go there. Though like Showplace 14 the food/ candy is to expensive. Better off going and buying candy at a dollar store. Though one thing this theater needs is better popcorn. Not sure what they put in there or don't but I can't have it because it makes me nauseous and ended up missing half of the movie because I was in the bathroom pukin. It takes away from the whole movie experience. Whenever I go to showplace 14 and have popcorn, I never get sick. Must be something they put on the popcorn. Other than that I love going there.
