I really disliked my experience here. During the summer my daughter took a four week class. The first week a rude lady tought who was awful, the second week all parents and children were waiting 30min over time and the teacher never showed up. Parents kept going to the office like hello how unprofessional is it for one, no teacher showing up, but two no one was rushing in to fill her spot. Finally someone from the office came to teach, with no good teaching technique, and said the first instructor had quit over the weekend. It should have been sorted out who was going to fill in before our assigned class time on Monday, but instead they waited 30min into the class. Finally the third week comes and it's a wonderful lady, as well as the fourth week. But by then the kids only had two good instructed classes. The first two weeks were a waist.

My daughters have had wonderful life experiences with the Rockford Dance Company! Each starting their exposure to dance at age 3 in the Rockford Dance School (located in the Riverfront Museum Park). They learned, what I call the Deee's; discipline, dedication, devotion, development, desire, determination, and yes, disappointment was all part of their education. They now use all these tools in their adult lives. My girls are three years apart and have very different personalities, needs and gifts. Dance suited all of them.

I'm especially proud of my girls. Today they are happy, productive adults. They all support the arts in their communities. They all see what imagination, strength and grace do for a community, all elements learned through dance.

What an amazing weekend for the Rockford Dance Company! Saturday's "Stanzas That Move" was a delightful melding of Poetry, Dance and Music!

Sunday's 2 recitals gripped your heart strings from the beginning. The day had us bubbling with laughter as well as moved to tears.Thank you all for giving back to our community with such fervor!
