It's easy to get lost in the shopping center, I walked around the block before I found the escalators to the theater. It's been a few years since I've visited, and it looks like they renovated the place a bit. It looks nicer, but they still have very bendy seats in the theatre I was in.
It's a very well run theater and kept as clean as the public allows. It's always friendly and very convenient. I'd give it a 4.5.
Concession stand wasn't well stocked. Concession stand cashiers were rude and unprofessional when dealing with adults and children. Theater was outdated but ok. Screening was great!
Cinema Lounge tickets are expensive - I paid 20$ for 3D movie. Plus 12$ for parking :(
Also sound was distorted in some scenes. Otherwise pretty good experience.
The movie screen is very far from the seating, but the theatre is clean and comfortable.
**Never again** Went there with "free" promotional pass to see a movie, but theater intentionally overbooked and at least a dozen people with "free" passes were turned away, their evenings deliberately wasted by AMC Mazza Galerie. Employee freely admitted that they always overbook these events to make sure they have a full house, and that tonight they were actually screwing over fewer people than usual --- like that was supposed to make us feel special! Thank you, AMC Mazza Galerie, for persuading me to wait for this film (and others) to come out on Netflix rather than patronizing AMC Theaters from now on.
Only here for a private screening. Spacious. Parking nearby. Concession stand is way overpriced
The cinema is pretty small and can be dirty at times. Not a lot of movie selections or show times. I prefer other cinemas than this one.
OK older location easy to get to via Metro. Never seems crowded. Concessions expensive, as expected at an AMC theater. Join their Stubs club online for discounts.
This movie theater is my secound best to go to.. one bus ride away from home ..
I like this movie theater. It's got competitive ticket prices, a good selection of snacks, good image quality and decent seats.
Used to be our favorite theater. Now inside an aging mall with disappearing dining choices, we rarely go. Sad
Disappointing. The location is convenient, and the parking can be validated which is nice. The staff at the concession stand were nice but incredibly slow and inefficient (took me almost 20 minutes to get my order while some people were just standing around). The theater seats were old, broken and uncomfortable.
Not my preferred movie theater. I only come here for the free pre-release movie screenings. Other than that, there is nothing special about this theater to drive all the way to Friendship Heights to watch a movie, especially when you have to pay for parking at all of the surrounding garages. The garage directly below the mall validates up to 3 hours. However, some new movies run longer than 2 hours and you have to consider getting there early to claim good seats so that may take you slightly over the time, which will cost you ~$5. It's one of the older theaters in the area. No reserved seating or reclining leather seats. Typical concessions. They serve alcohol in their Club Bar, which is located towards the back of the theater. There are two bathrooms, but very few stalls.
It's located inside of the mall on the top floor. It's metro accessible and has plenty of restaurants in its vicinity.
