Love this place! Barrywoods now offers Prime seating which recline and reverberate the action of the movie right through your seat! In the description it doesn't make it seem as if your chair is still a recliner but it still was! (We saw Thor Ragnorak)

I choose to drive 50 minutes out of my way to pay more in order to see movies here. Barrywoods AMC is the only theater in the KC metro that plays really late, has reclining seats, offers Dolby Digital sound and now Prime.

My recommendation is to order your food through the AMC app so it's ready when you're ready otherwise you may need to wait awhile. Otherwise, if you're not in a hurry or running late, be patient and understanding and expect to wait on your food if you want it cooked properly. It all has specific food times in the fryers and isn't cooked ahead of time (unless it's popcorn, of course).

They have bigger menu items such as little chicken sandwiches with waffles, cheeseburger sliders with curly fries, huge jumbo hot dogs, ginormous soft pretzels or little pretzel bites, shakes, lattes, and so on for a variety of tastes. Personally, I like the mozzarella sticks.

Enjoy your show! And don't forget.. The movie theater is always open.. 365 days a year! Even holidays!

If I could rate this place a zero, I would. A friend of mine recently fell on a wet floor in this establishment. When she called and spoke to management they didn't even care. They gathered absolutely no information and did nothing about it. Go spend your money to watch a movie somewhere else. This place = trash.

I usually have a pretty good experience at this theater except for one thing that has been bugging me for years. On more than a few occasions the popcorn has been stale and very unappealing and for $10 per bag I expect fresh popcorn but apparently it's too difficult. I know popcorn costs pennies to make so there's no reason for this to happen. Water pressure on the drinking fountains is absolutely ridiculously low. So if I've ever had to take medication or simply wanted to drink some water it becomes almost impossible to just go to a fountain and do so.

We just started going to this theater and I am ADDICTED to their recliners! It's the ONLY way to watch a movie! But the one theater with the recliners that have the power experience or whatever it's called (where the recliners shake) gave me a serious headache! My husband thought it was very cool that the seats did that, but since I am the woman I will always get my way and we will use the Imax or other theater where the seats stay still! lol

Staff helpful, it's always clean and we always have a great time. We drive past 2 theaters to go to Barrywoods. Hands down, the best theater experience, especially if the movie you're seeing happens to be in the prime theater.

Good place, hasn't been very crowded when I've gone. You can get tickets from fandango. Pretty good chairs as far as I'm concerned. Would recommend.

This theater never lets me down. Sure employees are polite but you see them for maybe 10 seconds. Whats awesome is the theater seating is always clean and odorless which many other theaters seem to fail at. Picture, sound, and lighting are always good. And the seats are stair stepped and spaced well enough you dont feel crowded. Keep up the good work BarryWoods.

We've gone to BarryWoods AMC since they first opened and loved it. We love the theater and upgrades they've made to the building and concessions. However, recently they've implemented a "member" program that you pay extra for privileges, like going to the front of the line. This seems wrong on so many levels. Elitism at it's most basic level. One day a girl who was next in line, well for regular paying customers, was asked to step back in line for a "member" to go next. She refused. She said she was there first. Can't say I blame her. The price you pay for movie tickets now shouldn't include giving up your place in line to somebody who paid even more. Also they've started giving coupons to teens. Really?!? Age discriminatory coupons? Why not offer deals to everyone? Why have a line for people with more money? Customer appreciation goes a long way, regardless if the customers age or income level.

Lots of screens = lots of variety (usually) Tickets are too expensive unless you go on Sunday at 11am (or earlier) then the tickets are only $5 for adults. Concession stand is outrageously priced, plan on dropping at least $50 if you and your date both want a drink and snack. (They do offer hot pretzels though which is a bonus in my book.) Building has been well maintained over the years, you cannot tell how old it actually is because they keep it in good repair. The volume of any movie though is painfully loud. (I'm only in my thirties, so I'm not "old") I can't comfortably follow the dialog of a movie when it's SCREAMING AT ME EVERY SECOND OF THE MOVIE! IT'S NOT PLEASANT TO BE SCREAMED AT FOR 2.5 HOURS! I prefer other locations

Good service. Theaters are clean and good seating. Tickets are a little high priced, as well as the concession counter, but overall a great theater

I have been here a few times. We went here for the premiere of Rogue One and had a blast! They had some Star Wars cosplayers there taking pictures with people! It was even snowing really bad so I was surprised they still had the cosplayers there for those who toughed it in the storm and still went to the movies! The prices are a little overprices but that is almost every movie theater you go to nowadays! I also went here for a field trip with an elementary school. I like how they allowed the students to come during off hours so the place was strictly off limits except for the many field trips that came during those hours. It was a great to keep the students safe during their field trips!

Gorgeous building and great staff - very friendly. I especially enjoyed the 3D IMAX screen that they have there; you can't get much better in terms of a movie experience.

The concession stand had plenty to offer, with all of the usual things like candy, popcorn and a variety of sodas. It's big enough to accommodate a larger crowd (which happens quite often there). My one issue with this theater is what most theaters suffer from - their lack of cleanliness. It's almost impossible to pick up after the crowds come through, especially with popcorn.

This is my go-to theatre in town. Fast and easy to get to, get tickets, and get seated. Concessions can have a bit of a wait every now and then but that's really not the staff's fault as they are exceptionally quick and efficient. Seats are for the most part great and comfortable, but those with long legs or restless leg syndrome had better pick a spot along the aisles. Great theater, prices as expected.
