  I have been taking my child here many years for styling and this is an exceptional and unique setting. I have observed firsthand the personal attention extended to all children regardless of the challenges posed. The owner and staff host children’s parties which include special themes. They accommodate what other places do not attempt and provide a fun and enjoyable experience that cannot be found any place else. Highly recommended.

  I believe the rating of a business should be on the quality of service they provide and this place definitely provides the best. Ask for Jodie You won't be disappointed. I always receive great service and though I don't have children of my own, I have seen them provide extra care to all the kids that come through their doors every time I have been there (and I've been going here for years).

  I took my 6 month old daughter to get her ears pierced here and am happy with my choice. The salon and piercing station was very clean, and the entire process was extremely sanitary. All the ladies were professional and super sweet. My daughter's ears have healed great with no problems and she looks super cute with her new studs. :) I would most definitely recommended Adult to Kids Salon for ear piercings.

  I highly recommend A Hair for Kids. We could not have had a better experience getting my 8-year-old-daughter’s ears pierced for the first time. I had researched other well known named shops and decided they weren’t for us. The team at A Hair for Kids Salon, including Kathleen, the owner, Justine and Jill put my daughter and I at ease. They not only spent a significant time educating her about the process and cleaning her ears, they made sure I approved the mark where they would do the piercings. They only use the latest technology, which includes disposable ear piercing equipment so you are assured of cleanliness.
  
  1, 2, 3 it was over and I had a very happy little girl. And, then Grandma asked if she could have her ears pierced! So she followed my daughter and had hers done the same day!
  
  By the way simultaneously there was a little girls party going on in another area. It was clearly a very fun place to have your child’s birthday!!

  The owner of this salon had the nerve to tell a family member that her beautiful little boy was not welcome at her salon. She stated that the “fit” with her stylists wasn’t right, even though he’s been coming here for years. Could it be that she is discriminating against a child with Down Syndrome? You should be ashamed of yourself!! For a salon that supposedly caters to children, this is disgusting! Be careful of going here, you never know who she may turn on next. Absolutely disgusting.

  My review is for the birthday party. I'm not happy at all. It definitely was NOT worth the money! If can't provide full service and entertainment you shouldn't charge full prices! I got there about 45 minutes early and asked if it was too early to bring in the items to set up. I had a cooler, ice, drinks, food, and gifts of course. There was no party prior to mine. The cake room was ready. Which was pretty and the only good thing about my experience. The owner told me unfortunately all the girls were on lunch and when they got back(15 mins prior to my party start time)they would come out to the car and get all the stuff and set up everything for me while we started the party. Well, it didn't go like that AT ALL.
  
  Ok, so after waiting in my car for 30 minutes .only one(1) girl came out, she got the first bag and never came back. I had to carry the rest in with the help of my guest that had arrived by this time. So what was the purpose of me waiting again?
  
  The "host or entertainer" was a young girl who seemed nice, but didn't know what she was doing. So I can't totally fault her. The owner clearly hired her to do the party while she took care of customers. The girl was like a fish out of water. She started the hot dogs in the crock pot for me in another room, but an hour later they still weren't done and the water was barely warm. So she clearly didn't put it on high. I could have started the hot dogs way before the party started. I arrived in plenty of time!! There really is no excuse for that! The "host" also didn't know how to engage the kids or start activities. She mostly stood around waiting to be told what to do, and how to do it. When the girls started to get their nails painted the rest of the kids all 3 of them(she should be able to at least talk to a small party) weren't engaged in any activities. It was extremely awkward and unorganized! It didn't feel like we were at a party celebrating. For the price she charges(with no food, drinks, utensils, paper plates/cups, napkins, or treat bags included) this was unacceptable!! The owner had to come in and coach the girl every step of the way! She also had to lead most of the activities. Which contradicts what she told me when I did the party tour. She told me her prices were at that amount so she could hire good entertainment that actually enjoyed being around kids. She failed horribly if that's the case!
  
  So we moved to the cake room and they came out with the half done hot dogs. Which explains why prior to moving to this room the owner tried to convince me they were done. She already knew the hot dogs weren't ready!! The host was instructed to serve us the juice boxes and bottles of water. Which she did well on that part. But we were basically on our own in the room. There was no one to clear the table after we ate so we would have room for cake. The garbage can was bathroom size and overflowing with trash. We cut the cake by ourselves etc.
  
  For the price I paid and as a single mother I was extremely disappointed!! It was nothing like she told me it was going to be. I don't have money to waste!! She don't know what sacrifices I had to make to pay for this party. I would never book another party here. I can't honestly recommend them to anyone. I wanted to get my daughter other services done here, but after the party I decided against it. I regret my decision and wish I had went with another New Berlin salon that was cheaper. Smh

  We took our grandson here for two haircuts with Justine. She is great! He only cried for a few seconds the first time we went there, but he got over it quickly when he realized he could "drive" the car and watch a show. The second time he only cried because we had to take him out of the car to go home! 😊

  As a person of Indian heritage, we wanted to get my 10 month old daughter's head shaved. The stylist was very understanding and very cooperative. She had a 'first cut' kit, where she gave us a lock of my daughter's hair. She was gentle and kind. Great experience.

  My daughter is almost 5. She loves coming to the salon. There are cool toys and cars for the kids to sit it. Charleen was our stylist and she did an awesome job. She was friendly and great with my daughter. And, the haircut wS adorable. Thank you!

  My daughter, Serenity, has special needs and this salon works wonderfully with her. Justine has done her hair and she is extremely patient and very supportive. Everyone working there is wonderful. I recommend this salon to anyone with small children. And if your child has any type of special needs let them know in advance when you make the appointment and they will do everything to work with you, and make your child comfortable.

  We took our almost 2 year old for his haircut and right off the bat he was super excited to sit on the motorcycle, such a cool idea for a kids chair. Lynn is awesome with kids and she does such a great job on hair! She always has the best advise and knows how to work with kids even when they get antsy. My kids love coming to get their hair done and I love my son's new hairdo. Lynn always makes it a pleasant experience.

  This is the first time I've ever written a review, mainly because I can't believe this place has 4 stars! I took my son there today and waited 45 minutes and no one even acknowledged me. There was another couple with a little boy ahead of me who had an appointment 30 minutes prior and were still waiting to be seen. I took my son to Sports Clips down the road and he got a great haircut and the staff there was so friendly!

  Justine did a great job cutting my 2 year old son's hair. He screams and cries during hair cuts and Justine kept cool cutting, while another lady distracted my son with toys. After a few minutes he stopped crying and was enjoying himself (which is not how he normally leaves a hair cut). You could tell they really cared about keeping him comfortable and did a wonderful job on the cut too. Thank you ladies, we will be back!

  Will never return. All the toys are dirty. If your looking for the basic of basic simple cut then its ok. Fun for kids at least. Unable to fade his hair, had to teach the stylist how style and fade. Next time I'll stick to.the barbershops in Milwaukee. #disappointed
