Police steady pulling you over. Then state wants responsibility fees on top of ticket fines. Take your right to travel.then turn you from court because you have a phone. Now you miss your court date.now you have a warrant. How Does all that constrast with the stated mission , goals and objective of 36th district.

The nice judge heard my case and dismissed it.My driving record finally got me the benefit of being worthy of a break.I was driving w/o license in my possession due to co-worker ,who was driving had illness. No Ops On Person was the charge.

I wish there was a way to give a place 0 or negative stars as a review. This is the worst branch of any judicial system in the state and they have the most incompetent employees working here. Forget ever calling to schedule a hearing for a ticket or for any matter. I've never gotten through to them and have always had to drive up there and pay for parking and stand in line, just to schedule a date. It's ridiculous.

Worst court system I have ever seen since I use to live in Dearborn heights. We went to court in 2015 because my neighbor MDP my boyfriend' s house windows, and lost due to the lack of evidence on our side. The neighbor has a criminal record and still walks free. The judge let her go with a warning. One year later she does it again, and walks free again. If you ask me crooked judges, and crooked cops working the 6th precinct. If my boyfriend broke out the neighbors windows, the judge would throw the book at him instead. And the criminals would still walk free! F***ed up ain't it! The house looks like sh!+, with no money to fix it. We are both on SSI and can't afford it at all. It will have to stay like that I guess, until we die of old age. I give the court system negative 100 stars. BS court system!

This court irks my entire existence. From the moment you step in, having to relinquish darn near your entire wardrobe/belongings just to get through the metal detectors is super annoying. The security staff nitpick about very trivial items and it's so irritating; I understand safety precautions but making someone leave out over a small, inconsequential item is stupid. My mom spent nearly 20 minutes going in and out the court, just to get rid of stuff that was "prohibited". Also, they need to accommodate people who catch the bus that have nowhere to put their "restricted belongings". I shouldn't have to go across the street and pay $5 to a stranger for them to hold my stuff, ESPECIALLY if I'm not staying that long. Huge inconvenience.

Additionally, as far as the landlord/tenant division, they SUCK. Tenants seem to be nothing but casualties. During my hearing, all the paperwork that I brought was not considered or reviewed, and we got coaxed into consenting to something we really didn't want to, just to expedite the case and get it over with. I think that was done merely to lighten the load of the legal personnel involved. If you're advising me (the defendant) to bring all necessary documentation to help my argument, I expect you to review it. Isn't that what the heck you get paid for?

I pay tax dollars for laziness? I'm about to apply to become my own sovereign state, because the judicial system is flawed and fickle. 🖓

Called, input my information for a call back in their automated system and never received a call back. Called the next day, stayed on hold for 26 minutes, finally got through and a lady picks up I say "hello" and the lady disconnects the call. WAY TO GO 36TH DISTRICT COURT. PROFESSIONALISM AT ITS FINEST!

There are only maybe 2 ladies who are nice as hell at the payment centers on the first floor.. The rest just stare at you like 😐

Your wait time is really cut to 0 if you go at like 4pm.. Nobody be in there so you can be in n out 🏃💨

Needs some polish extremely rude and serious attitude by most support staff on the first floor with a few exceptions ! Civility needs to be learned along with a Citizens non contempt policy for all including a few judges! We are all citizens ! except Judge Milhouse she is very nice understanding and fair! And who made the policy of no pens we are all conducting business for ourselves and our interests in the City of Detroit .

Utter lack of professionalism (and competence). This holds true whether you visit in person or call on the phone. Rarely will anyone answer the phone, rather you'll wait for over 30 minutes before someone picks it up and hangs up on you. Outstandingly bad.

There are genuinely people with decent customer service skills that need jobs, but no, they'd rather hire the exact opposite. After being told by an automated system that the maximum wait time was 20 minutes.. I was actually on hold close to a hour. The best part is that I spoke to the representative for maybe 2 minutes, just to be told "you gotta walk in to make a court date" Unbelievable.and with an attitude.

Great place to go if you want to seem like a genius compared to everyone around you. It's astonishing that this place is even functional. Make sure to eat before you go in, because the lack of organization, competence and general concern for people's schedules can easily turn your visit into a half day ordeal. (Warning: If you have a temper or limited patience I highly recommend taking some sort of medication before entering. For people with average or higher intelligence levels, this this place will inevitably upset you.)
