Nice room, but the hotel and restaurant closes at the weekend.Disapppointing when we were looking forward to eating there.
Absolutely wonderful historic building. Comfortable, spacious rooms.
Nice quiet environment and lovely food. Had the Wellington on a plate burger which was excellent.
Appalling table service and awful food at the Wellesley Boutique Hotel restaurant called 1815. Went for the Wellington on a Plate event and was served off chicken that tasted as bad as it looked. See the photos. I noticed several other people leaving their meals too.
Fantastic chic space. Divine coffee and food
Charming "old style" luxurious cafe. Full of old people in suits (MBIE is near here as are a lot of Govt Ministries) but don't let that put you off
i have Started my day with a delicious breakfast, enjoyed a satisfying lunch and a cup of great coffee with one of scrumptious in-house baked treats. In Wellington one of the best hotels. Thank you for a great time.
Nice atmosphere and good coffee. Very old world charm with a fireplace in winter.
This is a lovely old place retaining much of its charm. There is a small cafe just inside where you can grab a coffee and snack. Slightly run down but the old character compensates for this. Central and close to Lambton Quay (the shopping mile of central wellington). I like going here when I catch up with people in wellington for coffee.
Grand old building with comfortable rooms and all you need in a cafe restaurant
The first night we stayed there had one of Wellington biggest Earthquakes. They sure know how to build these old buildings. Other than the lamps falling off the side table and some paint chips coming off in the passage way. In this old building I felt safe, we were in the top story. The night manager Sam was calm and knew what to do for our safety. I loved the old 4 claw bath, was a dream to soak in one. Everything was so clean and I felt I had gone back to another time. Staff was so friendly made our few nights the best we have had in Wellington.
