Valentines restaurant is my Top most favourite restaurant! I could go here 100 times or more everyday!!! My parents love the oysters, my brothers loves the desserts. My favourite is everything, espiscially the mussels and the seafood. Also, if you have a birthday, you should go here. It is awesome. I think it is free for the birthday person

We went there yesterday and were bit worried after seeing all the negative reviews. But the food and service turned out to be surprisingly good!! My partner and I had a hearty meal. We loved the chargrilled BBQ, meatballs, the roast chicken and see food and desert and so much more. A lovely experience!

From chicken ham salds seafood dessert and coffee all were good. Even chips were crispy. I used to come here 18 years ago on wed lunch special and good to see still the same standard food served.

Good food,value for money considering there vast selection of foods..all types of different cuisines,from fried foods,Chinese,Japanese,HOT grill,roasted,European,soups,breads,salad bar,seafood,deserts and more..water is free,but I'd suggest buying the bottomless soda cup to wash it all down.sometimes they have live music too.

Had a very enjoyable family lunch here 08 April 2017. The Smorgasbord was very comprehensive with something for everyone - even our fussy eaters! The food was well prepared, tasty and plentiful. The staff were very attentive without being intrusive, so excellent service. Highly recommend the Wairau Valentines as excellent value and quality. Thanks to all the staff.

This Valentines gave me the nostalgic vibes of the Valentines restaurant chain which once was in Palmerston North, the food is good and has variety, the dessert menu is delectable and expansive, the restaurant is very clean and I didn't notice a single fly in the air when I was there, very impressed

Most of all, great value for money. Kind and friendly staff and comfortable settings.
Nothing much to complain about the food quality.
Anyways feel ease with family and friends for any occasions.

I was very disappointed with the service. Quality of food was poor. Some of them looked like leftovers from the previous day. It didn't look like the chef put much effort into it. Their menu hasn't been changed in years!!! Cocktails were poorly made. There were only two waitresses at the time. We got tired of waiting so we got the drinks ourselves. A restaurant that charges $35 per person should have higher standards. I won't be dining here any time soon.
