Lots of staff available. (was late morning on a Tuesday.)
Store could be organised better. Can be quite hard to differentiate between the mens, kids and women's clothing. As the displays aren't always correct and coat hangars for men's clothes have womens sizing..ie 10-12 for men's small trousers which were in the womens section.
Would be nice too if there was a clear clearance section. Seems like clearance items are in their branded areas only. Not in one big visible spot.
Otherwise good experience staff-wise. Very friendly and helpful.response / report this review -

Purchased online to pick up in store, great price, but was even cheaper the next day, called them and they refunded the difference Great service.

Great product, awesome staff. Some of the reviewers on here have this expectation that staff are experts in absolutely every sport- they aren't. Take the time to ask for help and get the right person to help you. Be prepared to wait a bit during sale period.

The staff are fine until they take your money. A part on my bike was not installed correctly and hence broke. I took the bike into the shop in January to get the part replaced. It has now been 4 months! and I have still not received the part. I have gone in store on 5 occasions and when I asked the staff what is happening, they have laughed at the situation. On each occasion the staff 'promise' that it will get sorted, and when it doesn't they are the first to blame someone else.
On my last visit I was told the part would be 5 weeks away! I could order it online and it would arrive within the week! It has now been two months and I am still yet to hear back.
The customer service I have received is beyond ridiculous. Nobody has taken responsibility for the situation, purely because nobody cares. I was a regular customer at torpedo 7 and I have easily spent over $10,000 in the store.response / report this review -

It is very important for them to sell "merino"-products. Merino is a kind of wool that is produced all over the world not only in New Zealand. That is very important because some shops try to sell their "Made in China"-Products for hundreds of $, in knowledge that some could confuse the meaning of "Merino" with a New Zealand context. Like this shop. Skip it.
Better go online and buy Norwegian "Merino". In Norway, there are just a few sheep compared to New Zealand but they give better wool I mean why is Merino-Wool so expansive when there are millions of sheep in here?

Walked in as a tourist with the expectation to get a rental bike and some hints for a great chch by mountainbike experience. Got both :-) They eve switched front and back breaks to fit european behaviour and helped customize one of their cardboards to help abovoiding a potential mess in the rental car.

Horrible performance. I was in there to purchase a surfboard. Had one staff member approach me to allow me to take the board off the hook. Then while I turned to get it out he was gone. Shocking service. Even better I put the board back looking for a sales rep to help me complete the purchase. I make it to the counter to see at least 7 of them standing around the counter twiddling there thumbs. As soon as I ask to purchase they all looked at each other. Finally one decides to complete the purchase but can't find the right fins because they were thrown out. Therefore they give me the wrong fins for the board. But very unorganised place as couldn't find certain tools to help. When I come to pay they couldn't work out how to work the till todo a half cash and half eftpos payment. Shocking staff. Very lazy with no attempt to provide/sell there products. only reason to shop there is because of there prices.

Touch and go with this store. For every great staff member there are 2 really awful ones who are completely unhelpful. Bought an Aarn pack from a lovely sales assistant who was super knowledgeable and spent a lot of time with me. Had a HORRIBLE bike renting experience and have found most of the bike staff to be fairly unhelpful (there are one or two helpful members but most act completely disinterested).

Very friendly store. Everyone is happy to help out and go above & beyond for you. They were very prompt in having the bindings put on my skis very late notice, for free! Awesome work.
