Delicious Italian pizza and pasta, suitable for any sized groups. Food is incredible, and after trying many different items, I'm consistently impressed. This is one of my favourite places to eat in Christchurch. Very popular, so recommend booking ahead.

Was not expecting it to be this good, in fact I was quite surprised, I thought it was just a small cafe/restaurant. Warm atmosphere and service. The cosy interior, soft music and gentle bustle of the kitchen in the background will make you feel at ease. The staff look after you, they are very calm and friendly. The food was simply splendid - perfectly portioned and quite filling. My iced mocha took a while to come but I soon forgot about that when it arrived - top notch, blessed hands made that drink. I drink lots of iced chocolates/mochas from different places and this was high on my list. Do you yourself a favour and spend an evening in immersion here, you'll leave a better person.

I had an amazing experience here. The food was absolutely divine. It was so wholesome and delicious. It makes you want more and more. Every bite and favour blends so well together, it makes your whole world light up. The staff was so friendly and comforting. They made it so enjoyable and they would come and check up on you and have friendly conversations too. It was like they wanted to be there - they weren't just there for their job 'requirements' to serve, they take the time and make the experience amazing. Also the restaurant itself is so warm and the atmosphere is so happy and uplifting. I recommend this restaurant to everyone and if you take the time and the right people, it will be an amazing experience

warm and comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff, great tasting pizza, very happy with the price. been here multiple times and always been happy.

When we first arrived at Valentino's it was about 6.30pm and the place was packed. We were a party of 12 and we sat down and it was quite snug in among the other diners but it was kinda fun.
From there on in I was in awe of how hard the staff at Valentino's work to make a great night, and their efficiency and organisation is impressive. They kept us fed and up to date with drinks until we nearly burst, along with everyone else in the restaurant.
The food is outstanding. We had a wide selection off the menu and everyone raved about the quality and the generosity.

A great find in Central Christchurch. Cafe Valentino has a great range of dishes, and my favourite - the Mediterranean salad - is always stunning. Plenty of seating and a warm ambiance make this the perfect place for friends or workmates.

Eaten here a few times now - it's one of our favs!
The food has been exceptional every time, and the staff friendly.

I have been there last night.The worst experience I have ever had.
I ordered a glass of wine and 6 oysters , I was thinking about my main.
After 10 m. The waitress said to me the price of the oysters.REALLY OVER PRICED. So I asked to talk with the manager.
The rude manager with blond and short hair invited me to leave the restaurant.I was shocked. Unbelievable.
I have been manager for 20 years and I never asked to my customers leave the restaurant just because I said that oysters were over priced.So,I left the restaurant without eat and unnecessary money for the cab.She took off my glass of wine from the table with devil eyes.Very disappointed.
I'm working in hospitality already 20 years like I said, and the manager must be an Example for anyone and must be Polite.
Probably the young girl doesn't know the mean of them.
Arrogant and Ignorant behaviour in Valentino Restaurant ,moreover in Christurch -New Zealand- left me shocked and spichules:100% disappointed.
I hope the" manager"next time think a little bit more before to do something like that for no reason!!!.
I'm living in Melbourne and I'm going to post this review everywhere.
Dear " manager" change job and if you feel stressed please,go in holiday and learn the good manners.

Amazing pasta! (all their meals are yummy though). I have been here many times and the food is always great. The drink menu is huge and the cocktails are so good. I have never been disapointed and highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

The atmosphere was lovely as was seating the meal was nicely presented and very tasty. Initial service from wait staff was good. Unfortunately once our main course was delivered that was the end of service. Wait staff did not check if our meal was ok OR if we might need another drink! They did not come back to see if we would like desert! When the table was cleared STILL not asked if we needed anything else or if we enjoyed our meal. EXTREMELY disappointing service which spoilt the whole experience.
With staff lingering around once our table was cleared we got the impression they wanted us to leave.
