LOCATION: basically in town, close to the main road but quiet at night and in the morning.
FACILITIES: I liked it because is not flash new but it has a character as a family owned business. Clean and easygoing, this is not a schematic "german style" campsite, the pitches are not in blocks but is a nice lawn divided in spaces with trees.
Toilet very clean.
Employees very kind and helpful.
MUSIC: that's why I don't give them 5 star, there is a silly, cheesy 90's music on tv screen everywhere 24/7 there's even a tv in the laundry on That's not business minded, especially when you have radio from the speakers and music from tv. You wake up with the bird singing, beautiful mountains aroundand than you are forced to have breakfast in that unbearable music. I guess someone like it
Good holiday park with good facilities. We rented a cabin for a night and that was pretty good and warm for a night stay.
Good place to stay and nice small town for chilling.
Perfect score! Great place to stay, clean great showers, best staff! The most friendly, helpful holiday park in NZ
Nice kitchen and toilet.. nearest town within 2 minute walk..
Was perfect for being handy to town and the room facilities were just what we needed
The staff is helpful. We rented a room with four beds, linens were extra which isn't super convenient when you're traveling by air. The prices were reasonable for the area. Overall it was what I thought I was paying for.
Nice clean spot, with professional service, as long as you are aware that bedding and a towel costs $9, and cooking equipment for two costs $5, and if you would like a key to the adjoining ensuite to some rooms, it's $20. All this applies to the $40 rooms, and is stated on the website. Free WiFi in the common area, which is nice, and a fridge in the room.
We stayed in an ensuite room, everything pretty new, well maintained and staff are super friendly. Very nice social & dining area, nice kitchen we didn't get to use it but it looks so organised. Close to town centre, subway next door.
Great location! We stayed in a double room with ensuite which was great. Good facilitates including a very nice kitchen (Note there is no cooking utensils available), beautiful dining area and a very cosy games room. Overall very well maintained.
Kia Ora. ..from Taupo. ..owners n staff very helpful n friendly.facilities are great it's a pity some clients fail badly to clean up after themselvesthe grounds are well maintained and I liked the positioning of the sites how handy they are to the amenities. Kitchen/dining area very spacious. ..ablution block gr8 and hot hot showers. ..
I thought $4 for laundry and driers bit high but then I think they are quite up to date
Fine spot for a holiday park. We stayed in a double room - it has that flimsy and grey feeling of a cheap motel, but it's reasonable value compared to other options in Te Anau which is a bit of a pricey place to stay in general (but worth it for the incredible surrounds). The common areas are quite a bit nicer than the rooms and it seems to have extensive amenities, though we couldn't get the wifi to work.
