I stayed in the dorms and it was fine for the price. If you want a more private experience get a chalet. The kayak guides were very good and the cruises were excellent. There is also scuba but I did not do it. The views of nature is what you would come here for.

Busy place, but campers are efficient so kitchen is a flurry of activity. Dining area didn't match it for size.
Note: no telephone connection at all.
We think it is best to visit in the rain, as uncountable waterfalls form everywhere along the Sound and the road.

Fantastic place to stay (the only place to stay) but still incredible. We splashed out for the river view room with stunning views and great facilities. The restaurant serves tasty food but make sure you book as it gets busy. A little pricey but that is to be expected.

Only camping site available in Milford Sound. A little bit pricey, but worth it! The surroundings are beautiful! It has good facilities - lots of showers and toilets (all clean with good pressure and hot water), plenty of kitchen preparation and cooking space, communal lounge/dinning. There are also cabins of varying sizes, which I didn't see inside. Plus, there is a small restaurant and cafe, and lots of information available at reception.

The kitchen and the lounge are a great place to hang out after all the activities you can so I the area. Rally cozy. Also worth mentioning, the only place you can find accommodation for in Milford Sound.

Due to the remoteness of this place and the fact that it is the only available accommodation around, I expected it to be a rip off. I also expected mediocre service. I was wrong!

Amazing views. Beautiful scenery. Just one small note. No mobile phone reception, at all in Milford sound. It really is an escape. There is satellite data of 100mb per stay. Use it wisely. Satellite data is expensive otherwise. There is public wifi in spots at Milford sound but you pay about $50 for 250mb of data. Let friends and family know you will be uncontactable at Milford sound, but don't let this discourage you. It is so very worth it. Its an amazing place.

We had an car accident about 30km away from Milford Sound and came to the Lodge to make a phonecall because there was No reception anywhere.
From the moment we arrived there, they took care of us, gave us to drink, wifi, called the ambulance and police and were absolutely helpful, free of charge.
We didn't stay there but it looked really nice and because of the really friendly staff I can totally recommend it

Felt right at home. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Food at their restaurant is amazing! Very warm and comfortable rooms. Will definitely be going back.

Stayed in an 11 bed dorm room. Comfortable, clean and warm rooms. Where the lodge really excelled was it's facilities! New kitchen was well equipped and the private toilets and showers in the new block were lovely. An actual drying room and good laundry area. The older wash blocks were still good and functional. Would recommend. Beware of the Milford sand flies!

Lovely place to stay. Chose the mixed dorm room (which is economic), clean and spacious. Good clean showers. The restuarant has some amazing food (which is probably not that economic, but who cares - you're in milford sound), and the cafe's open till late if you wanna grab a beer or snacks. Lovely staff too. Definitely coming back.

"The only game in town" as they say. However, one must try their restaurant. Delicious and unique fare. Excellent service. Best Veggie Bennie ever. Notably prices are reasonable given they are sole source.

Our non powered spot number 9 was just perfect - especially as it's the only one where you are not directly next to other vans. So you have extra privacy. The facilities are new and the kitchen is well equipped. But as there so many people staying there all the time both need more attention. So please add another cleaning shift and the place would be perfect :)
