  Came here on a business/pleasure trip last August. Simply wonderful. It was only my 3rd time in New Zealand but my 1st at Takaro. It won't be my last I think. The lodges were really nice. Comfy and clean. The staff was also excellent and everyone was very happy. (New Zealand has some happy people, that's for sure.) The best however was simply the location. It's a paradise. We spent 3 days locked inside (for work) but then we had 3 days to explore and it was simply fabulous. (Bring comfy walking shoes.) If you're going to NZ, Takaro lodge should be on your route! It wasn't the cheapest but it was def. the most impressive all around. Highly recommended.

  I spent several months with my wife on Takaro Lodge and we had great time. This place is perfect to get away from noise and pollution and enjoy domestic, organic food and pure peace. Highly recommendable.
