In A Nutshell:
-Speight's Ale House is a great spot to grab a pint or two plus complimentary food.
-The menu has quite a few choices that pair the correct beer w/ your food.
-The food is classic bar food (see mouthwatering photos below).
-Service was outstanding.
-Lot's of room to explore & snap photos.
Overall, had a really good time there w/ a group of friends.
Speights Ale House great house brewed beer and food. We tried the ribeye steak, the venison and the highland lamb - all very good.
The best is still the mud cake dessert with chocolate sauce that is so chocolatey and the sweetness is just right with a bit of bitterness from the thick chocolate sauce - great.
Also tried their golf medal beer and old dark, both taste are super.

very very good food, and the pumara fries are excellent, really a good place to have diner, merci !
I can’t believe this place is so highly rated. Our food was meh; my wife’s meat was chewy, mine was just insipid. Our waitress was very concerned when we reported our lack of satisfaction, which won back some good will, but that evaporated when we saw the duty manager, who seemed cold and didn’t really appear to care
Expensive but good portion size. Waiting staff are very pushy so not to relaxed
Good tasting and selection of beer!! Fun atmosphere and good service too!
Beautiful food, brilliant staff. Nice clean tidy place with good atmosphere and great beer!
Wonderful meal and service. Ordered a venison, and asked for medium rare. Good portion size. Very delicious and flavoursome 😋
The restaurant was full of people on Wednesday night and there was no available seat for 2. However, we sat at the bar table and still enjoyed the meals.
Would I go back? Yes
Wonderful meal and service, faultless. Atmosphere was warm and buzzing with relaxed feel. Nick was seeing to all our needs, fantastic man, from ordering meal to drinks, and throughout our evening. Will be back to wine and dine.
Great service, delicious food and cozy atmosphere. Oh, and it's in the Speight's brewery, so you know the beer is good!
A nice atmosphere and acceptable food. Staff were friendly and showed some initiative. The sole fillet I had wad very tasty and possibly a little over cooked. The accompanying salad and fried potato halves were uninspiring and looked and tasted like they were made off site and brought in. A pleasant meal at reasonable value but typical of restaurant chain food with uninspiring accompaniments to the main portion of the dish. The triple hop pilsner quencher was the highlight.
Great food. Great service
Great food. Great service. Big meals an a great atmosphere what more could anyone want
