It’s hard to decide where to dine in Queenstown with such a long list of restaurants with 4+ star reviews. I read through several of them and am so glad I picked this one. I am a huge foodie and this place ranks in my favorite.
Atmosphere: intimate and cozy, elegant, no touristy vibe here
Food: Superb! The clam chowder was the best I’ve ever had. Beef done to perfection. Pork croquettes wonderful, nice and crispy on outside with tender pork inside.
Presentation: Artistry
Service: Kind and attentive
Prices: Can’t be beat. This is fine dining at friendly prices. You don’t need to pay $$$$ for an outstanding dining experience in Queenstown
Cosy little bar with snack meals available. Historic building with good view of the Lakefront.
Ordered 4 tapas and a couple of wines, got a nice spot by the window and next to the fire, bliss :) really enjoyed the calamari in the squid ink tempura and the lamb as a highlight as well. Staff were attentive and friendly to our dietary needs as well.
Best lamb of my life! The service was friendly and attentive, the drink selection very extensive and the food was delicious! To top it off everything was very well priced!
Mostly delicious tapas bar. We ordered 6 dishes and 5 were delicious. The 6th was a little bland. We had a cocktail and a wine and they were delicious. The cocktail was incentive, and quite amazing. I never really enjoyed dissecting the different flavours in a drink more. The room is a little cold despite the fire but there are blankets at every table. Very industrial design with friendly service.
Small, quirky little tapas bar with fantastic food. Especially their famous seafood chowder, like nothing I've ever tasted.
Nice upscale tapas. Had a good selection of wines and a good wine trio tasting option. Service was good, food came quickly.
Our dishes were nicely presented and tasty.
We did not try any cocktails
There was an event in Queenstown and everywhere was full. They very kindly squeezed us in. It was a very long wait for food, but the communication was brilliant and when the food arrived it was delicious.
Great location and food was very tasty. We had the Calamari in Squid Ink Tempura and it was absolutely amazing! We also had the Pork Cheek Croquettes and the Gnocchi, which were very good, but the calamari were just outstanding.
The staff was very friendly and the location cannot be beaten.
Prices are on the higher side, but definitely worth it.
My wife and i were pleasantly surprised by the taste of the squid ink calamari. The food was delicious.
Price NZ $12 to $15 per item.
Recommended.
A really unpleasant bar manager! Since we arrived he looked at us like we were homeless, the cocktails we had were really expensive for what they were, we didn't finish one of them and the other was only finished because of the price we paid! He was looking at the customers like he was the best bartender in the world! I'm a bartender and the first thing is to be nice and welcoming and he obviously wasn't! The other bartender seemed nice when I asked for other cocktail bars where to go. To be honest the actual bar is not bad but the way how he was behaving was terrible. If you want a nice cocktail with a nice atmosphere just don't go there.
