Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Decent place for some beers but food is average.

Service was good but food was average. We tried the 2016 winner of Queenstown's best burger but we didn't think much of it. However, I did like the pulled pork. 😊

Loved it!!! Had thirteen of us go for dinner, $7 kids meals and the best burgers I've seen in ages. Friendly staff provided pencils for the kids to do some drawing.

The service was impeccable. Food was delicious - we ordered the fish and chips and chicken and waffles. Everything was made from scatch. The waffles were so fluffy and soft. Highly recommend!

Great pork burger, lovely taste, Fair portion and price.
Nice sauces, really nice staff, and the place is beautiful.

Came here 2 nights in a row to attempt to have dinner. The first night we ordered drinks first and no one made us aware that the kitchen closed in 15 minutes so after we enjoyed our drinks at tried to order food we were denied. The next night we figured we learned our lesson so made sure we arrived at least 30 minutes before the kitchen closed - for only to be told by a man behind the bar that "they got really busy so decided to close the kitchen early." He suggested our only option was to order off the late night menu which consisted of fish and chips, fried chicken and chips or mac and cheese - not what we wanted but felt like we had no choice. We ended up waiting over 35 minutes for the food to come out - all while seeing everyone else in the restaurant who ordered after us getting food off of the nromal Menu! It appeared the worker who told us the kitchen was closed was lying. Also, I got the chicken and chips which came with the smallest piece of chicken you've ever seen. This place has cool drinks but definitely stay away from the kitchen and rude employees.

I have to agree with the comments that the girls behind the bar are exceptionally rude. I've been here four times and on all four occasions the girls employed at the bar have THE worst attitude. I'm a New Yorker and can handle not having a peppy server but at least be polite! Nevertheless I have been 4 times because the food is that good (with the exception of the veggie burger :p) and we're usually seated by an upbeat guy who's a host so we put up with the negative Nancys pouring our drinks. World Bar, get some new bartenders!

We've been here twice since it has moved to the old Monteith's. Both times were very disappointing. Second time really took the biscuit from an appalling staff member. After asking for a notorious tea pot, the exceptionally rude bar woman said 'no we are not doing teapots because everyone is smashed' - a blanket response to a bar that is famed for their USP - their cocktail teapots. 'I will serve you one drink' - this was at about 11.30.Absurd. She said the same thing to the bloke before me too.
There are plenty of better bars who probably haven't felt so much of the wrath of the police as this one. Clearly very concerned about responsible service of alcohol which seems incongruous with their drinks menu. Dreadful service, no manners and utterly rude. I can just picture her staring/watching my girlfriend dance as though dancing automatically means being too intoxicated. They have bouncers who vet people that are too drunk - let them do their job and instead focus on providing semi decent service. I can't explain how ridiculously incompetent she was and wish I got her name.
Terrible service and awful music. I dIsagree with people that give 1 stars so it gets 2 but really at a push.

Great burgers, I loved the classic bacon cheese burgers the most. Wide selection of beers. Good atmosphere, live music. Original place. Reasonably priced. Great location. Highly recommended!!! Can be hectic when it's busy though. Stuff is epic!
