Me my husband and 7 boys stayed here for 1 month costing $1,577.00 wk in the family unit which was a little match box but for our family in the times of need we a very gr8ful which means overlooking all the faults, problems & dramas Toni & Sharon were very helpful couple This place maybe as run down as u see it but its what u make of it that counts so I have no complaints here lol
One star is one too many for this poor excuse of a motel. Shocking facilities, dirty and the residents seem to be at the lowest end of the list. Don't waste your money on this place.you will regret it.
Glad I packed up and left after getting my money back. 👎👎👎👎👎
Poor quality of the family unit I had booked for the week. It wasn't cleaned very well before we got there. Pool wasn't up and running when we arrived and when they did get it sorted discovered it wasn't really the thermal pool that was advertised. I will not be going back here.
Very run down facilities, the pool wasn't usable which was an initial draw for us and we had had a very large cockroach inside of the blankets upon arrival, definitely not worth the $900+ we spent for a week.
For what you get and what you pay it's quite expensive.
Nice place right by the water.
Super helpful and friendly guy on reception.
I asked if I could pay for a few hours and a shower, no worries was the response and gave me a great price.
Much better than the reception at Tauranga Tourist Park. They don't like freedom campers I was told.
We are living in the cabin for using the rent. It's quite good as quiet.
The location and price are pretty hard to beat. A $15 taxi ride to the strand where the night life is fun, and good fishing in the holiday park make it a good place to stay. You'll be able to take a shower (its usually hot) and access to a kitchen but the facilities are sub par. You can pay for wifi but dont bother, its expensive and very slow. Overall though if you are on a budget, its a pretty good place to stay - The weekly rates are very reasonable.
Relaxed friendly feel ,everything we need right here
Not what i thought, no thermal pool, and toilets discusting. Nice on a sunny day for short stays,
Staff were very friendly. The place does look old, but very well kept. Locked gate at night, feels safer, especially since by the motorway
Walked onto site after not being attended at the front to site the grounds for up coming holiday. Racist Maori walks up claiming he owns everything and proceeded to undress me because I was white and this was his camping ground muttering about treat this treaty that. What a racist camping ground. I walked onsite but no need to carry on like that to a potential customer won't stay here might get cooked up in a boil up
Bit dirty. Mice in the kitchen. Average quality of buildings. But the staff was very friendly and kind. My son loved the movie watching on the grass with other kids and popcorn. We stayed in a tent. Nice view.
Worst holiday park I've ever stayed in. Bathrooms are gross, they didn't replace the soap in the 5 days I was there. Owners are rude and unhelpful. We paid $38 a night for an unpowered site, and for this price I expected a lot more. People next to us were playing their music really loud late at night, but you can't even escape it because they lock the gate at 10pm meaning you can't drive in or out after this time; felt like a prison! Just want to warn people off staying here as Tauranga is a beautiful place and I'm sure you can stay somewhere else a lot nicer for this price.
