Nice camping ground in an ideal spot. The sea here is very beautiful and the beach feels like you have it all to yourself.

It's so peaceful, no one bothers you and it's right on a most beautiful beach, the owners are great people

This is a hidden gem of a camp. Ablutions might not be trendy or Ritz hotel quality but very clean and functional. Free showers & always hot water. Good beach front sites & reasonable rates even over high season. Great recycling scheme. Will definitely come back again. Dog friendly camp - small daily charge per dog & no problems at all as long as you abided by the rules. Accolades to Shane & Rebecca Salter for a well run camp.

Unfortunately doesn't live upto it's good reputation. Unfriendly owner who takes his job far too seriously. This is definitely not the relaxed kiwiana experience we were anticipating. Not dog friendly!!! Camp sites small and cramped. Felt more like a council estate by the beach.

The quintessential kiwi camp ground situated right on the ocean, safe swimming. Excellent for launching your kontiki. We caught two fish off the beach last night.

We had a fantastic time, the facilities are clean and well maintained. The cabin we stayed in was clean and well equipped with utensils, the bonus was the 180 degree view of the sea. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. Thanks
